91. And to whoever said that parents of children under the age of 17 who get pregnant should be charged...like what is that, as if it's their fault. You can't babysit your children and hold their hands every day of their life, they have to grow up and make their own decisions. That's like saying, lets throw everyone whos kids get addicted to drugs, or drink underage in jail. People are always going to make mistakes, and it's no ones fault but your own. You eventually have to grow up and take responsibility for everything you do. No one makes you do anything. And you just cant hold anyone else responsible for the things you do.

92. Police and DSS should take her into custody and put her in a foster home. The police just did this to a bunch of 16 year old mothers and pregnant girls at the compound of JCLDS in Texas. Its an open and shut case.

93. To #78 minding your own business, you are fortunate. Yes, I agree that in the very early 1900's girls gave childbirth earlier, most peole did not live as long as they do now. My own grandmother got pregnant at 16, married and had a somewhat successful marriage. My grandfather was 26, a veteran of WW1, had no education and was a coal miner. They were married for 50 years when he passed away and she mourned him but she never wished that kind of life for me. I agree that people should mind their own business but Jamie Lynn's mother decided to put her girls in show business, allowed her to date at a very young age and let her live with a much older boy. She threw those girls into the media spotlight, and whether you like it or not, people have the right to their opinions. You gave up alot starting a family so young and if it worked for you, great but you are the exception to the rule.

I agree that we can disagree, but as far as you saying I gave up a lot........You are wrong, I gained a lot. More than I could ever have hoped for. My husband and my children were and are the most precious things in life for me, as are my grandchildren. I do agree this doesn't happen that often, but when you love your husband and your children more than yourself, the love comes back to you seven fold. I am so blessed to have been given a wonderful man, beautiful, intelligent children and grandchildren. If Jamie can learn to give unconditional love to her baby and her babies father, she will get it back seven fold also. Everything happens for a reason, God works in mysterious ways. I think Jamie will do just fine.

94. Doesn't everyone go from childhood to motherhood, none of us know any better how to be a mother. That's why its called maternal instinct, every woman has it within her, doesn't matter when you have to use it. I know teenage mothers who are able to provide better lives for their children than 30 year old woman who are consumed by their jobs and never spend time with their kids. They might have all the things in the world, but human beings need nothing more than they need love, and affection. So any of you saying she has no shot at giving her baby a good life, shut up. Please. You don't know what you are talking about.

95. If you knew anything at all about certain sounthern regions of this great country of ours, then you would know that it is customary for girls/boys to MARRY at 12 & 14! Take a trip to her hometown. Talk with a few of the locals. Ask the married ones [who are middle-aged] how long have they been married and how old were they when they had their 1st child. MOST of them will say things like: 'married at 13...14...15...16...17 and had my 1st kid at 13...14...15...16...17......

Maybe in YOUR side of town, but not in mine; the kids I know in the South head to college & careers, marrying in late 20s,if then. Different socio-economic classes have different aspirations.Plenty of people make it out of small towns and on to higher education.

96. 14. When I was 16, all I cared about was ponies. I slept with a stuffed puppy. My favorite color was lavender, and I liked to put stickers on stuff.

Sounds like you were one sad, antisocial messed up 16 year old.. and what was that...40 years ago?

97. The reason why 16-year-old kids sneak around and has sex, is because the parents let them get away with it. Have you ever heard of chaperons? If not look it up.... These people have bodyguards with them at all time, so why not send a chaperon with your 16-year-old child on her date?

Oh yes, because every 16 year old would love that. Gosh. Are you completely retarded? People can't be help by the hand every day of their lives. Eventually you have to go out into the "real world" and sometimes learn things the hard way. Grow up.

98. In a way I feel bad for her. Here she is 16/17 with her own
cable show, she is on top of the world and the sky is the limit.
Then for 1/2 hour or so of sex her whole future is changed
(and not for the better).
Oh, well. better her than my
nieces (Knock on wood). Also, the TMZ reporter assigned
to cover Jamie must be in hot water with the powers that be.

101. Maybe some of us in society are tired of such thinking and
behavior and are voicing our displeasure. Maybe some of us think that
this is a destructive lifestyle that should be strongly frowned upon.
Today, there was almost certainly some girl deciding about birth
control and pregnancy and thought "Well if JLS can raise a kid, so
can I! She's so cool! Everyone loves her! Everyone will love me even
more when I have a cute little baby DOLL"
Maybe some of us are sick of Britney playing the victim after a
lifetime of narcissism, poor behavior and choices, and basically
creating her own problems! Some of us are sick of the pity she
receives about losing her kids when she did everything possible to
sabotage keeping them! Some of us are sick of a 'Me! Me! Me!' generation!
This is the reaction of those who think that this is a horrible way to live one's life!
This is our protest to a society that praises and worships such people!
For some of us, this is the very core of what is destroying our society from within!
The bitter candy that rots the teeth and slows the mind!
Just say NO!!!

102. If you think that at sixteen you know where your son is all the time, well honey, hate to tell you, that's just a fantasy. Unless your son is a total nerd, that doesn't go out with friends or date, then, maybe just maybe. Don't kid yourself into thinking that just because you've had THE TALK that he was listening. Teenagers are raging hormones waiting to erupt. You can only hope that you've gotten threw to him somehow or better yet, pray that he doesn't get CAUGHT like Jamie Lynn did.

104. LEAVE HER ALONE! HAVE ANY OF YOU BEEN A PREGNANT TEENAGER? PROBABLY NOT SO MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS! I'M NOT SAYING SHE MADE A GOOD CHOICE BUT GIVE HER A BREAK! ISN'T THERE STILL A WAR GOING ON? AND WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU PAID LESS THAN $3.00 FOR GAS? WHY DON'T YOU FOLLOW THESE OIL A-HOLES AND S**T FOR BRAINS CONGRESSMEN AND GET THE DIRT ON THEM! TMZ! TAKE A POLL AND SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE THINK YOU SHOULD LEAVE THIS POOR GIRL ALONE? LOSERS!

105.
It really bothers me all these people saiyng "at least she's doing the responsible thing, taking responsabilities for her actions", open your minds, you talk like this baby is some kind of punishment, abortion is not a horrible thing, this is a mistake gilrs don't need to deal with the consequences, I mean, just the scare must be awful. I'm not saying she should have an abortion, she is the one who knows what's best for her, but she sure should tell people that this ins't normal, what really annoys me is the message their sending to other teen girls. And the people who are saying we shouldn't care because this is normal and not unusual, just shup up, just because it's usual doens't mean its right.
