Dethroned Mess Nevada Cops a Plea

Our favorite beauty queen has pleaded no contest to a laundry list of traffic violations. In exchange, she won't be competing in a prison pageant.

Cops busted Katie Rees after she allegedly assaulted an officer in Vegas around 3:00 AM on February 6. She copped to speeding, operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance and driving with an expired registration, a suspended license and suspended registration. Whew!

The 23-year-old trashtastic was ordered to pay more than $1,000 fines. She had been facing up to six months in the slammer.

The Miss USA pageant stripped Rees of her title after racy pictures showed up, well, here.

15. Unfortunately our society currently tells girls than acting out in this way is the quickest and surest way to get attention and acceptance. Hopefully she will one day come to realize the quick and easy path is often the one that should not be taken.
