Crazy TV Contraption Predicts "Idol" Losers

TiVoIf you want to place bets on "Idol" in Vegas, we think we found a way you could score millions of bucks.

TiVo may have cracked the mystery of who gets kicked off and who doesn't. Company insiders say they can predict who's not connecting by TiVo usage.

Here's the deal. In a sample of 20,000 users, TiVo monitors traffic -- which contestants get replayed (a sign of popularity) and which one's get fast-forwarded.

You think it's bogus? Well, the TiVo system has nailed who got booted four weeks in a row.

And who does TiVo say is getting the ax tonight? Poor Syesha. Take it to the bank, people.

46. I think Sayesha is one of the better singers, even if her personality is blah. To me she's like Whitney Lite. What she doesn't seem to comprehend is that she desperately needs to pick a pop/rock/folk/whatever song that is well known and was made famous by a male singer, then take that song and let us hear it via her female voice with that great r&b range. This is why David Cook is kicking ass, because he knows how to be original. He can sing a Lionel Richie song, a Beatles song, a friggin' song from Thriller - and he makes them all sound fresh, even though those songs were all sung by men. Why Sayesha doesn't get this is beyond me. Anyone knows that if you copy a song by the best (same sex) singers out there, then you are obviously going to be compared to them. My bf Simon even spelled it out for her this week, but I swear, if she survives this week, she'll probably do the same thing next week. If they all have vocal coaches, (sorry, couches) then why isn't someone helping HER out with song choices? She really needs it. So does Carly.

Me? I fast forwarded thru Brooke this week. She looks like such a spaz when she's waiting to hear judges comments. Like she's going to break into hysterics at any minute. That's my favorite part. How is she going to handle any kind of fame if she's that fragile? For the record, I've wanted Kristy to go home every single week since I first saw and heard her, but even she was even better than Brooke this week.

51. Well TMZ, looks like TiVo was wrong!! Michael got voted off... Syesha was in the bottom, but was safe. Interesting story though! Better luck next week.

BUT HERE'S THE REAL QUESTION.... WHY THE HELL IS KRISTY LEE COOK STILL THERE!?!?!? MICHAEL JOHNS DEFINATELY SHOULD'VE OUTLASTED HER!!

53. Cristy is getting the Red States' votes, and I bet Fox News [in same company as AI, go figure] is pushing people to vote for her, too. Micheal Johns is good singer, but to the teen voters, he's their uncle. They can't dream of marrying him and too old for Tiger Beat. Also, Micheal is too good to get 'vote for the worst' votes, as what happened to Taylor Hick [misspelled intentionally]

56. I hope Kristy Lee Cook gets hit by a car. Michael Johns is so much better than she is, in personality and talent. Yet somehow she keeps making it through. I heard everyone in her home town is voting like 600 times each... that might explain it!

58. America got it so WRONG to boot Michael Johns. This year does have a lot of talent, but Kristy Lee Cook and Jason Castro are nothing great, Same old stuff each week. Kristy should have been gone for 4 weeks now. Simon got it right weeks ago saying it could be a popularity contest over a talent contest. Looks like we might not see the best talent win if this keeps up.

59. What the f***!!! How could Michael go before some of the other contestants. Granted, I didn't think he was the winner, but he nailed some pretty big songs (The Doors, Queen) and man, they're icons, and he performed them well. I find there's some kind of husky magnetism to his voice, almost Eddie Vedderesque. Very disappointed to see him go, Syesha and Christy Lee should have been long gone before, don't know how they're still hanging in. Both have ok voices, but neither have presence or charisma.
