Gary Busey: Mental Handicap

Can't find a parking spot in the crammed Country Mart parking lot? Do what Gary Busey does and just throw up that handicap placard!

Why even waste time re-parking though, his two destinations weren't more than 100ft apart!

16. Was he on his way to get his hair cut at Giuseppe Franco's and pick up a bottle of Procede?

Maybe because he really does have a physical handicap!

19. WHATEVER... ITS RIDICULOUS HOW MANY HANDICAPPED SPACES YOU FIND IN PARKING LOTS (ESPECIALLY GROCERY STORE) BECAUSE HELLO! THERE AREN'T GOING TO BE 40 HANDICAPPED PEOPLE PARKING IN A PARKING LOT ALL AT THE SAME TIME... ITS STUPID THAT THEY MAKE SO MANY SPACES.... CUT DOWN THE NUMBER OF HANDICAPPED SPACES AND BE MORE PRACTICAL IS WHAT I SAY.

20. Damn, he almost hit the motorcycle and rider! I don't think he saw either one.
Brave cyclist to just stand there, especially when you have Gary Busey backing up on you.

21. Jeez, Kelli and Baseball. Go IM instead of chatting here with your personal business that has nothing to do with the story.
15 posts and about 10 are you two yapping at each other.

Busey's just doing what most self centered, thoughless people do, thinking of only himself.

22. Gary Busey is a terrible driver. I watched the video to see if it was the same car...and it was.
On two occasions he's almost ran into me.
Once he ran a stop sign (Santa Monica area North of Montana) and another time at night he was behind me on San Vicente and was speeding up to rear end me (should have let it happen) until I changed lanes to avoid getting hit by this idiot. He did almost run into the motorcycle, it's just another day for him behind the wheel. Why is his engine idling so fast?

It seems just like yesterday was all over Jennifer Garner on the red carpet. He's kinda kooky. I'm wondering when we'll almost "run into" each other again. Sheesh!

23. Lucy Phoenix, This was a very quiet item while Kelli and I were talking and I'm not idiot enough to put my personal information out on a public site. If you are, you deserve all the tsouris you receive.

25. fathead, I don't know what store you go to or what state you're in but up here we're pretty strong for disabled rights and there are only two to four spots close to the door at most stores, grocery stores included. There are more in large shopping centers but then there are more stores too. Next time you're out, try counting. I think you'll find you've overestimated.

Kelli, I've been using the same color for awhile and he likes it. He agrees with me that it fits my personality better than my natural color.

26. Doctors these days hand those placards out as business cards anymore, everyone has them. That is why there has to be more and more handicap parking spots, because too many people are parking there when they do not need to so the people in wheelchairs or with walkers are not able to find a close parking spot! We have to be able to open the doors out wide to get the chair in there.

Also, in case that is a legit permit he is displaying it correctly. If you read it you are not suppose to have it up unless you are parked in the handicap spot. All these lazy people who just leave it up are the people who are wrong...

27. Wheelchair user, I wonder if they've changed the rules since I last asked about getting one or if the rules are different in my state. Last time I checked you had to get them from the DMV and doctors were not allowed to give them out. This is why my husband has to drop me off near the door and go find parking. Or perhaps it's because I cannot drive and so they assume I don't need one. It is very frustrating to me because there are times when I can get around reasonably well and others when I have to stop every ten or twenty feet to rest my joints. At least I am usually able to get around with my canes. One must count one's blessings where one can.

28. Awe BJ! I saw you on recent comments. I wish I could do your color for you. I would just come to your house so parking would not be an issue. Yes, I was a hair stylist for 10 years in my twenties!

People need to be more respectful of persons with disabilities. We never know when it will be us.

COMPASSION EVERYONE! Come on!

How is my team doing by the way?
