Vanilla Ice Busted After Meltdown With Wife

VanIlla Ice's Booking photoFormer rap star Vanilla Ice, real name Robert Van Winkle, was arrested tonight at his home after an alleged altercation with his wife.

Ice was booked by Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies at 10:43 PM ET on a charge of domestic battery. Sources tell TMZ he got into an argument with his wife, Laura, and he pushed her.

Vanilla Ice is still in custody at Palm Beach County Jail. Palm Beach County Sheriff's tell TMZ that in most cases, people arrested for domestic violence are usually held over to see a judge. Looks like Mr. Van Winkle will spend a night in the pokey.

48. Don't know all the facts here, but She may have started it and perhaps hit/pushed him first..... As a woman,
I feel like if you put yourself in a mans shoes and start hitting, pushing, etc a man, you deserve a mans beating.
However, if she didnt hit him and he shoved her, then yes he should get everything he deserves.
Sidenote : I went to Highschool with him ( Robert VanWinkle ) at R.L. Turner High in Carrollton Texas.... in fact he still lives here in Texas.

58. I agree with #43 and #45 respectively. By no means do I think a man should put his hands on a woman BUT I am so tired of this double standard that women can do whatever to a man and get away with it but a man can go to jail for doing anything to a woman. Women run their mouths and throw fists as well!

I had an ex that did that. Luckily, it never got physical but she the language she used to use was worse than most men! Plus, she would get personal about people close to me that have never even met her (such as my mom)! I said, "either I get away from this woman OR I am going to jail for putting her through the floor." I chose the former because I don't believe in a man hitting a woman unless its clearly self-defense. Sorry, but I am not going to let you harm me or kill me just because you are female. Other than that, you should never put your hands on a woman.

I think police should start investigating both parties in cases like this! They would find that the woman isn't as innocent as she appears.
