32. There is something about Brook that Simon likes. She is pure and down to earth for real, not a fake or phoney and very emotional. I think that is why America keeps voting her on they just like her period. I thought she was married? No? I think sheyesha should be gone by now. No Brook won't win so but she might want to make it to the next step at least.

33. I have to agree with those who think that Brooke should just go to the wedding. I would. Yes, American Idol is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but Brooke ought to know by now that she's NOT going to win the competition anyway, so why miss her sister's wedding? She has a month TOPS left to be on the show (because there is NO way she will beat either of the Davids), and Murphy's Law says that if she skips the wedding, this will also be the week she gets kicked off the show, so it's definitely not worth missing one of the most important moments in her family's history. Apparently, Brooke puts fame above her family. What kind of person does that? It might cost her the respect of the fans she does have.

Having said that, though, I think it's also pretty stupid and selfish that her sister won't consider postponing the wedding. I sincerely HOPE that the idea of having a cardboard cut-out of Brooke is only a joke because it's utterly ridiculous. I've attended enough weddings to know how hard it is to make all the arrangements in the first place, let alone REarrange them, but it should be worth it to actually have your sister at your wedding.

34. I think Brooke brings back the Carly Simon era of just a girl, a guitar, or piano, and a song...nothing flashy, just refreshing. I don't know if she will win or not...the audience let Michael Johns go, so who knows who gets the ax next. I think it's better to NOT WIN American Idol. It's only worked well for Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood to have won AI. The rest of the so-called losers, non-winners, have gone on to major recording contracts, complete fame and fortune in film, TV, music, modeling, product-endorsing and an Academy Award. So, it's "okay" to be voted out early. In fact, it's probably a good career move...(o:

39. I don't think it's the fault of the AI producers to encourage Brooke to stay and rehearse. I think her SISTER should display more understanding that Brooke is not cloned, and cannot be at two places at once. AI is a once-in-a-lifetime shot, the stakes are high for everyone to show up and rehearse as a group. The alternative is to not show up and do poorly on Tuesday as a result of losing focus, albeit, temporarily. Brooke's career is on the line...her sister should show a little more concern for Brooke's opportunity here, and maybe postpone the wedding a few months. What difference would 2 months make? None. They'll be married (hopefully) for 50. I think Brooke is making the right decidsion in staying put in LA...her sister should not be so selfish as to make that THE ONLY DAY she can be married. Ridiculous.

43. Brooke is one of the ridculous elements os AI. She should have been cut a couple of weeks ago. Marginal talent, big mouth and limited brain power. Yeah, she's an idol alright. She'd do America a big favor if she attended the wedding.

44. I would be upset if I was her sister. I am sure all the focus is on Brooke in the family and it should be on the bride, hopefully you only get married once. She won't win. I wish Michael Johns was still there. But I am rooting for David Cook. Basebll JUnkie aren't you self righteous. I had a fancy wedding and reception and I will be married 27 years. You do not have to have an overblown over the top wedding, but come on how many people can cater their own wedding and sew their own gowns or have the time to do it? I lived 12 hours from where Iwas getting married and had a 50 hour a week demanding job. Give the sister a break too. Too bad the wedding couldn't be rearranged, but who knows??

45. i don't watch idol anymore, but after hearing about her being panned by EVERYONE FOR WEEKS, she should just go to the damned wedding. one missed rehersal isn't gonna kill her DOA career. and what's with the judges/american society's obession with mickey mouse pop stars? get real! the ppl want someone they can RELATE to. i can't relate to her so send her back home to her relatives!

and if you don't know her family, you don't know how big, or small her sister's wedding is going to be. so stop hating! i had a midsized wedding at our downtown public library and it was beautiful. not JUST B/C it was my wedding (which is where i think alot of these mean comments about her sister's wedding are coming from - b/c ppl want to think their's was the best w/o admiting that it just may not have been), but b/c it was a true celebration of us, our personalities and our families. gone are the days of the church shindig with punch and cake. that's so whack and cheap. if you can't bring yourself to throw yourself a decent party to celebrate this great change in your life, then you just need to rethink the whole thing. marriage is work, and i don't think you should go into debt over the party to celebrate it, but if you can't celebrate it like it SHOULD be, then just don't it. no wonder ppl don't want to get married anymore. they don't celebrate marriage!
