Brooke White's Sister: My Bridesmaid is Cardboard

As "Idol" contestant Brooke White mentioned last night, she must skip her sister's wedding this Saturday because of the show's rehearsal schedule -- but don't cry for her Argentina, she's found a way to be in both places at once!

Brooke -- and her family -- have come up with a creative solution: Michael Johns will go in her place They've built a cardboard cutout of Brooke to take her place. Paging Flat Stanley!

We're told all contestants know way in advance about the Saturday schedules, and are aware that they just can't miss the weekend rehearsal. "It's one of those sacrifices you have to make if you want to be a star," "Idol" Exec Producer Nigel Lythgoe tells us, adding, "It would be a shame if Brooke was kicked off the show because she hadn't properly rehearsed." Yes, that would be just awful!

46. How unfair ... Michael Johns was one of the top talents on IDOL. This "thank you, thank you, untalented bimbo" stays week after week because 'she is like a pleasant stroll down a path" or whatever was said. This is show about singing/star quality performances ... not a show about how sweet somebody is. Everytime I see Brooke perform it is like watching a high school talent show.

47. Missing or attending one rehearsal will not make or break her music career.

If she's going to be a star and sell albums, she will do so regardless of the outcome on this show. It's been seen again and again that the AI winner is not the only contestant of the season to put out albums, and often they are not the biggest successes.

She will forever regret attending her sister's wedding.

48. Brooke should plan on a reunion with her sister in the near future. There is no way she is going to win Idol or come as close as the top three. She is an average hotel lounge singer and, in my opinion, should have been booted off a long time ago.

50. Why doesn't she just sing at her sister's wedding? I mean, of all the selfish, egotistical things I've ever heard of...this one takes the (wedding) cake!!!

and I have NEVER watched American Idol....this country needs to wake up to what is really important.

51. Brooks ugly mug on the verge of tears every friggin show is getting sooooo old!
She is a boring, average singer who is way beyond her 15 minutes of fame.
Her good girl act is also very, church lady annoying...... she has a psycho look in her eyes that I don't believe is so innocent.
That girl will sell her mother and husband for a song, not so sweet.... just wait... she will explode

52. The people that watch American Idol are the same tards that buy lottery tickets. That show is just England's way of making fun of Americans and fleecing their wallets by pushing their merchandise, ie, Itune versions of cover songs done by amateurs. The "Idols' they promote are nothing but unoriginal cover artists, even Daughtry steals their hit songs from Nickelback, Carrie Underwood is no Martina McBride, and Kellie Clarkson bails out of every high note in concerts.

53. Tjhis post shows what most of you know about singing. (Not much.) Brooke is great, and deserves to stay to the end. She will most likely finish second, at worst third overall. Her voice is unique and that is what sells. The final three will be David Cook, Brooke, and David Archuletta. Cheers.

54. Brooke is a very sweet girl who just happens to have a little talent. I don't think she will be in the top 5 (unless this is a
popularity contest). She will always regret not going to her sister's wedding and that is a very long time.

55. Brook is so genuine-something I like to see in an American Idol..There are others too. I happen to love Brook's performances.
She's easy to listen to and yes, for the men, easy on the eyes. I understand. I have voted for her and will continue to. She's what I like in an American Idol. It's a matter of choice. All of the idols -at this point-deserve to win for one reason or another.

57. I don't think Brooke White will win, but I know this: She and David Cook are the only two contestants I've gone back and watched their performances multiple times on YouTube. All music doesn't have be screaming and flashy. The one thing about Brooke is that she is genuine and I really feel her emotion from her songs (well, except for Jolene -- she shouldn't have been smiling in that one). I also like the unique sound of her voice.

Michael Johns was very overrated. I won't say there weren't other contestants that should've gone before him, but he had a mediocre voice and I never felt any emotion from his performance, which the exception of his exit performance, when he finally seemed to feel something. All of his performances have been pretty empty for me.

58. I'm so sick of you people complaining about Michael Johns leaving, and taking it out on other contestants who remain.
He lost because HE DIDN'T GET ENOUGH VOTES! Plain and simple. And, you know what? Obviously, she is getting votes!

All of you who say Brooke wont be in the top four? She should just go to the wedding? Do you realize how stupid that sounds???? She's obviously sacrificed to do this show and invested alot time and energy in this. Why should she give that up now???

Boy TMZ, if this is the worst thing that you dig up about her, than I think she must be doing pretty well!

59. I love Brooke, she has a beautiful voice and needs to take advantage of this opportunity. The cardboard cut out is a cute idea and will be something they can remember and laugh about for years to come! She can see a video of the wedding!! Besides we have lots of people serving our country in the the military that miss out on lots of things. It will be fine and I'm sure her sister wouldn't want to delay her big day as I am sure Brooke wouldn't want her too. Good Luck to Brooke...I can't wait to buy your first CD!!!

60. I've enjoyed Brooke's songs (though 'Hero' was rushed, and she shouldn't have smile during 'Jolene.'), and I also appreciate her personality. I believe she comes across as genuine. Everyone is entitled to have judgements on people's character, but I must say that sometimes readers can leave unreasonably cruel remarks -- and I don't just mean on this board alone.
