Brooke White's Sister: My Bridesmaid is Cardboard

As "Idol" contestant Brooke White mentioned last night, she must skip her sister's wedding this Saturday because of the show's rehearsal schedule -- but don't cry for her Argentina, she's found a way to be in both places at once!

Brooke -- and her family -- have come up with a creative solution: Michael Johns will go in her place They've built a cardboard cutout of Brooke to take her place. Paging Flat Stanley!

We're told all contestants know way in advance about the Saturday schedules, and are aware that they just can't miss the weekend rehearsal. "It's one of those sacrifices you have to make if you want to be a star," "Idol" Exec Producer Nigel Lythgoe tells us, adding, "It would be a shame if Brooke was kicked off the show because she hadn't properly rehearsed." Yes, that would be just awful!

63. You do realize that she is a Mormon...right? Her sister probably got engaged AFTER Brooke was on American Idol. And since they are not having sex yet, a 2 month delay in the wedding would be a LONG time!

65. It should not have been a problem for BROOKE to attend her sister's wedding. She should have been voted off when Michael Johns was. She is a mousy, boring performer. Michael Johns should have walked away with it all!!!

67. Brooke White is the most down-to-earth, sweet person on Idol--EVER. I don't think she'll finish first; however, she deserves to be where she is, right now. She doesn't sport that "I'm all that!" attitude, like some others. I would like to see her in the top 3. Should be: 1) David Cook, 2) David Archuletta, 3) Brooke White.

68. This whole American Idol is a rigged sham anyways. I cannot understand how they can allow someone who has already made a record be on the show to compete, its supposed to be raw new talent, they booted someone before for that so what makes this one special? Its already a shoe-win, its set up that Carly will win. Dont believe me? Wait and you shall see. If Carly wins I will never watch the show again. She has alredy made a record and she is not raw new talent. What a shame. Its sad that all the people who entered into this had no idea that they are just pawns and dont have a chance

69. If I was her, I would have told Idol to go pound sand. No matter what, family is more important than anything in the world. If it was a death in the family and she had to go to the funeral, would they try to deny her that also? But I guess not everyone puts family first. She only has one family, but there's an Idol competition every year. They're treating these contestants like prisoners.

70. We had a cardboard guest at our wedding, but that was because my husband's cousin was in Iraq. It's not like Brooke's sister's the first to do it. TMZ reports some of the most useless information. Also, we planned our entire wedding in four months so it may be possible that her sister could have postponed the wedding, but we have no way of knowing what their situation is.

And I agree...Brooke is not going to win so she could have just went anyway and said screw the competition.

71. I love Brooke, she is so talented!!! She is a mix between Carole King and Carly Simon. I loved her doing her first Beatles song on the piano!!!! Go Brooke don't let others inmature opinions get you down hold your head high!!!

72. Brooke has shown some very artistic interpretations to songs. I would like to see her in the final 3. I think with the right coaching she will be a wonderful performer. I want to see Syesha and Jason long gone. They suck.

I think it takes a lot longer then a few months to book a wedding and plan it. I booked my wedding Jan 06 for July 07 and was only given 2 Saturdays to choose from. So if my sis was on AI I too would have gottnen married. That plus all of the other planning would have been close to impossible to reschedule...or super expensive!

74. Brooke has no talent and I for one am tired of her cutesy act ( Brooke ..you are not Shirley Temple). Remember voters this is a talent competetion and not a popularity contest.
