Dr. Phil Pulls the Plug on Teen Violence Show

TMZ has received an exclusive statement from a spokesperson for the Dr. Phil show:

"We have helped guests and potential guests in the past when they need financial assistance to come on the show - assisting with clothing allowance, lost wages, accommodations, travel and necessities. In this case, certain staff members went beyond our guidelines (re: the bail being paid). These staff members have been spoken to and our policies reiterated. In addition, we have decided not to go forward with the story as our guidelines have been compromised."

This isn't the first time Dr. Phil has had a show idea blow up in his face ... this year!

49. What is wrong with him (ultimately he is responsible) and his staff. AMBULANCE CHASERS. Is he that desperate for
ratings? First of all he should take responsible, secondly get rid of those Jr. Ambulance Chasers in the staff.

50. Hey Dr. Phil - next time just send ME the $30k and we can all avoid the bad press.

I faithfully Tivo the good Dr every single day and it took me a couple of months to get over the Britney Spears screwup but this really makes him look like an a$$. What next - a show live from the "marital" child rape bed of that Church in Texas?

51. Folks...He dosn't really help anyone. These helpless people in trouble go on these shows for whatever reason. At the end of the day it is entertainment. He knows this. It is rating, money and entertainment. That is it!

52. I hope all eight of those involved (if found guilty)
do some serious jail time, as in decades. The families
should also have to pay some sort of restitution for having
such white trash kids.

53. I am outrage that Dr. Phil post bail for one of the teenager who is being charge with the beating. Is his way of say its ok for the teens to act this way, or is it just a way make his wallet fat. I feel that he is a sick person. He has no moral, and he should be striped of his term of Doctor. We need not to support Dr. Phil.

54. They should put him in a room with all eight and let them beat the crap out of him. Now that's entertainment!

55. That damned kid should still be incarcerated and off the street, instead of being out on bond! She is allegedly the ring leader!

60. I have NO RESPECT WHATSOEVER ANY LONGER for Dr. Phil. He has proven to me, its all about his show and his ratings. His crew should be ashamed of themselves for bailing one of these criminals out.
