Dr. Phil Pulls the Plug on Teen Violence Show

TMZ has received an exclusive statement from a spokesperson for the Dr. Phil show:

"We have helped guests and potential guests in the past when they need financial assistance to come on the show - assisting with clothing allowance, lost wages, accommodations, travel and necessities. In this case, certain staff members went beyond our guidelines (re: the bail being paid). These staff members have been spoken to and our policies reiterated. In addition, we have decided not to go forward with the story as our guidelines have been compromised."

This isn't the first time Dr. Phil has had a show idea blow up in his face ... this year!

76. BJ, your on recent comments on Gary Busey goofy!! Dr.Phil better be really nice to Robin if ya know what I mean. He just keeps looking like a large cranium. I have always supported him up until the last season or so. LOL!

80. I like Dr Phil. He HAS done a lot of good for a lot of people. Maybe he just needs a vacation. He is human. Yes, this is a mistake, but let's not stone him. Pray for him.

81. Everyone do NOT forget that he is a quack he is NOT a REAL Dr. His license expired and he did not try to renew as he would have failed the Psycho. part of the test himself

82. I don't think Jerry Springer is interested unless he was screwing your sister, father and baby brother at the same time in one big bed. Being nucking futs isn't enough.

Montel might be interested if he used physical violence to control you and Maury Povich would have you on if he was trying to deny being the father of your youngest child on the grounds that he looked like the mailman. I hope none of these are true.

Maybe you should study up on baseball and go to a few games. I've met some really nice fans there. Of course, I wasn't looking for dates so my experience may not help.

83. They want to get a big screen TV so they can watch the games and forget to put coasters under their beer But that's pretty small potatoes compared to some of the nutcases out there. While they say that a woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle, I rather like having a bicycle.

84. Tell them forget big screens. Plasmas with hdtv and you will consider it. If they will not use coasters do not do their laundry next week. They are not worthy. :)

To keep on topic, Dr.Phil better check his sources before he makes a move,

85. Depends on whose paying for the tv. I'm not paying for plasma or big-screen (though I'd be happy to watch) and if they don't use coasters, get 'em tray-tables. I'm not going to leave laundry around stinking up the place for an extra week. Although I might teach them how to use the washer/dryer.

I think that in the past, Dr. Phil has helped a lot of people. He has forced people to confront their problems and sometimes told them to get off their asses and fix things. He's not afraid of calling people on their lies. I just think he's forgotten that he only plays a doctor on TV and he doesn't have the time or the ability to establish the long-term doctor/patient relationships that are necessary to really help people in the long run. I'm afraid that he and his people have gotten into the mind-set of "we have to do this bigger and better than the last time" which is what ends up causing a lot of shows to jump the shark. I think he's lost touch with reality and has forgotten that he is only a man.
I think I'm starting to ramble here but I guess I've said what I intended to.

87. Let me go finish up the dishes and I will try and think up an intelligent and long response to this goofball! Hang on for a few.

Would we have to wash the TV trays? :) bbs!

Posted at 12:58AM on Apr 13th 2008 by Kelli

88. Nah! you just wipe them down with lysol once a day. That should kill anything.

Don't forget, the long and intelligent part of the comment should be about Dr. Phil (assuming he hasn't been talked to death already) or do you think we're still on topic if we discuss other talk show hosts or maybe Judge Judy and the like.

90. Dr Phil how the hell could you post bail for this truly sick chick. Justice was being served but so you could have a show on teen violence you BAILED OUT THIS GUILTY winch. What will she ever learn if you get out of jail fast for doing something evil to another human being. Great job. She should have set there and rioted in jail for what she did to that girl. Then you could have waited until she was behind bars to do a real interview. YOU have made what happened to that girl who was brutally beaten even worse.

Don't blame your produce for this you should be off the air

Put on your thinking caps on people
