Dr. Phil Pulls the Plug on Teen Violence Show

TMZ has received an exclusive statement from a spokesperson for the Dr. Phil show:

"We have helped guests and potential guests in the past when they need financial assistance to come on the show - assisting with clothing allowance, lost wages, accommodations, travel and necessities. In this case, certain staff members went beyond our guidelines (re: the bail being paid). These staff members have been spoken to and our policies reiterated. In addition, we have decided not to go forward with the story as our guidelines have been compromised."

This isn't the first time Dr. Phil has had a show idea blow up in his face ... this year!

91. Wouldn't it have been a lot better for him to give the victim the 30 grand and have her on his show? Wouldn't that make more sense? How would giving the perpetrator bail and having her glorified on national tv help her or any of her potential victims? I say potential because my god, there will probably be more girls beaten up at the hand of this sick teen.
For those who say Dr. Phil is so wonderful, smart and such and such...come on people you are seriously not that stupid are you? He has no license

92. Well, as my daddy would say, ya can't make a pig drink the water if he's already been stomping through your daisy patch. Uhhh, ok, I never understood it either but Dr Phil might...Hey Phil, you are an egotistical loser, lots of words and no substance. Get a real job!

93. Patti, I'm not saying that Dr. Phil was right this time but you don't need a license to give common sense advice which is most of what he has given on his show and he was licensed once which means that once upon a time he had to have learned what he talks about. Both his license to practice and his common sense have lapsed but he had them both once upon a time. That's what I (at least) meant when I said he had helped people in the past. He blew it this time around but he has talked a good game previously. I suppose I am defending him but only in a very limited way.

95. i think Dr. Phil is an idiot !! He talks to people about marriage, and did he forget that he cheated on his first wife !! So who's he to give advise about marriage. And this bailing out this girl, to make his show get more ratings !! That is unforgivable and disgusting !! He and his wife " Robin" really make me sick. Who's she on giving info to people too, when I read that when she met Phil, she quit her job and dropped out of school, so really she has nothing behind her either, just like Phil, he's not allowed to pratice in Calfornia either !!! So two losers.

97. People, people, people!!! Dr Phil is a BIG PHONY!!!! The following is just alittle snippet of what I have found on the net regarding past guests:
************************************
The bad part is what was aired. Things were put in that were never said while we were there. Phil giving advice that he never gave to us. On the third day I was determined to not look bad again. I came up with a solution to my problem and couldn't wait to share it! What aired was PHIL saying MY WORDS to me, and some how (I don't know how they did that) me replying, "yea I was thinking about that". This happened with most the guest. Things said on air that was NOT said at the show.
I have one regret in life and it's that I agreed to go on that show and that I didn't walk out when I could have. There is so much more but I think you get the picture.

Remember Phony Phil did the same thing to one of the brother's accused in the Natalie Holloway interview?

98. So, one of his staff members spends an unauthorized $30k and this is the discipline he gets? Did you put him in time-out too Dr. Phil?

Hahahaha......Dr. Phil is a fool if he thinks anyone will believe his lies. If he really had no knowlege this heinous act he would be SCREAMING bloody murder right now and calling for someone's head. That's how damaging this is to his public image. He's in the gutter and I don't think he can dig his way out this time.

Can't wait until the victim's family sues his hick a$$.

99. Time-out .... lol

It was like this - These staff members have been spoken to and our policies reiterated.

But seriously... meanwhile away from the "ranch" we let a 17 year old almost 18 charged with a series of ADULT crimes out on bail! Now she's free to walk the streets from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (correct me if i'm wrong on the house arrest stipulations) to do God knows what?!!!

Did you all see how detached the girl's mother was on the news about the seriousness of this crime? It's so so sad how pampered children are our future....

100. This quack's credibility lies somewhere between Jerry Springer and professional wrestling.

101. #11 where do you get your logic from? Dr. Phil is arrogant, pushy and a ratings ho. He doesn't care about anything but ratings and running his yapper. He is not even a real doctor. He looks like a fool yet again. Voice of reason my ass.

102. Next on Dr Tool.....
Was Charles Manson really to blame or was hes just an abused kid?
Did Scott Peterson really do it?
Was Jeffrey Dahmer just hungry for love?
Was Susan Smith in need of driving classes?

We put them in a house together and watch what happen's. Dr Tool works his magic!!!!!!!

104. The girls who took part in the beating deserve no break-they need to be punished big time for what they did- Dr. Phil needs to get off of television-no one wants to listen to him anymore-he is a joke!
