Dr. Phil Pulls the Plug on Teen Violence Show

TMZ has received an exclusive statement from a spokesperson for the Dr. Phil show:

"We have helped guests and potential guests in the past when they need financial assistance to come on the show - assisting with clothing allowance, lost wages, accommodations, travel and necessities. In this case, certain staff members went beyond our guidelines (re: the bail being paid). These staff members have been spoken to and our policies reiterated. In addition, we have decided not to go forward with the story as our guidelines have been compromised."

This isn't the first time Dr. Phil has had a show idea blow up in his face ... this year!

121. Dr. phil promoting violence and bailing out future criminals must be out of his mind , should be trying to save his own marriage !!!!!!

122. What a jerk! Does that big goof think the public can't figure out it is all about ratings at any cost ($30,000). He knew exactly what his staff was doing!!! If the showed had actually aired, it would have ruined him, but I hope between the scheme behind Bittany and this will put an end to his television career! He is not worth watching.

126. Just read on yahoo that his license was first suspended and later rovoked. It was suspended because he had hired a 19 year old girl to work in his practice who was a patient (perhaps this is the one he had an affair with?) , This is not allowed under the law. In order to unsuspend his license he was suppose to go through some rehabilitation classes and he didn't do it. So the license was revoked. Geeee what a moron. How long can he last? What is Robin thinking....she really doesn't need him. As far as Oprah goes...she has had a history of not checking people out. I hear she is trying to distance herself from him now. Pam

128. I think Dr. Phil is disgusting, bailing that girl out of jail just to get his ratings up!! What an airhead. And who's he to give advise on marriage, when he cheated on his first wife with an 19 year old. And Robin.... another excuse, she gives advise and she quit school & her job when she met this idiot! I think the television show should be canceled. It would do everyone a favor.

129. Doctor Death should have pulled the plug on the teen violence show. The manner in which he was trying to put it together was all wrong. I wish Doc would have done the Britney Spears show and allowed her to show the nation what fun it can be watching a mentally ill person meltdown on stage.
