Britney Had Cosmetic Damage Before Crash

Minutes before Britney Spears caused a three car crash on a Saturday night, she was driving the same way most women in L.A. do -- putting on her makeup behind the wheel!

TMZ spoke with the guy she hit, who says before the accident, he was admiring the white Mercedes and the woman putting on makeup while driving it. It wasn't until after she hit him at an estimated 10-15 MPH that he realized the woman was Britney. The man also says he wasn't sure if she was still putting on makeup at the time of the crash.

After the smash up, Britney's bodyguard apologized for the incident, but Britney never got around to doing the same. Brit and the 21-year-old crashee only exchanged a few words, but she did mention she was on the way to dinner with her mom.

As far as the field sobriety test is concerned, the crashee says officers performed the ol' "follow my finger test" on Brit. At first she was giggly, but she got real serious real quick. BTW -- she was the only person involved who was tested. CHP claims the test was S.O.P. telling us, "We do a standard check on most drivers .... especially during those hours."

While no injuries were reported on the scene, the man claims that he woke up with a sore back this morning and is looking into booking an appointment with a chiropractor.

151. Here's a thought. If he had to brake suddenly to stop himself hitting the car in front why did the car in front have to stop suddenly?
Have a go at him for not paying attention but he still stopped. Now what was brit doing that she couldn't stop in time. Was she watching the car in front like she was supposed to. Well as she hit someone no.
Maybe she was putting her makeup on or not but she wasn't paying attention to the car in front and wasn't driving at a correct distance.
So how can you have ago at someone for not doing something when she so obviously wasn't doing the same thing!?!

You britards really do have blinkered vision.

On a side note if i see a woman putting her makeup on or someone on the phone, messing with the radio etc i have a look. It's like not being able to stop watching a car crash. The stupidity of the person doing those actions compels me too just like it does for a lot of people but i'm still able to avoid having a crash. Like the first driver. It's usually the woman with the makeup or the idiot on the phone that can't.

152. First off I woke up with a sore back after my accident it wasn't because of money, but injuries caused rarely show up immediately. Though at only 10-15mph it might be suspicious.

However I'm offended by the statement that most women put on make up in their car. I don't neither do any of my friends and family, in fact I don't know one who does. It's a serious insult.

154. I hope that the judge NEVER give unsupervised custory to Britney. She may be much better but for her to have her children on a full time basis would be close to child abuse.She is an unsafe mother and an unsafe driver. I understand that she loves her children and that she is doing the best that she can - but best is not good enough.

155. Ridiculous. He wasn't watching where he was going either..he openly admits that he was admiring the gal in the white mercedes putting on her make-up. Maybe he should be paying more attention in front of himself than behind. Of course, now he is crying wolf..seeing a chiropractor and has a "sore back"....sheesh, dude, give it up.

So, you're saying she should NEVER have her kids because of the fender bender? Are you kidding me? Fender benders & car accidnets happen every day; it's like you're saying every mom should not have their children in the car because it be like child abuse if they get into a minor accident. I have seen worse drivers & believe me, Brit is not that bad. Come to ILL where moms are drinking their coffee or water, talking on the phone & speeding (have seen some where they have their left foot on the dashboard) while their little ones are in the back & swying in & out of traffic to get where they need to be. Things happen but to say Brit should never have her children because of this little fender bender is silly. JMO.

159. Hate to turn this into a chiro thread but I worked in a chiro office for 4 years. They do help. I watched my doc, YES DOCTOR OF CHIROPRACTIC MEDICINE. They dont prescribe medication because pills mask the pain and since they dont treat diseases they dont have to prescribe antibiotics. But they still major in Biology and go to chiropractic school for 4 years. This guy and Brittney too, should see a chiro. An impact - even a low speed one still does some damage to the body - people dont feel sore until the next day, because when the accident occurs you have adrenilian surging through your body which prevents you from feeling immediate pain. It isnt until it wears off that the pain sets in. The reason that people are under chiropractic treatment for long periods of time after a car accident is because usually that person has not been to a chiro before and has a lot of stiffness and past injuries to get through to make the person to get better. A GP would take xrays and prescribe pills to mask the pain, or antiinflamatories to reduce inflamation that is there actually to heal the injury. Chiro's can help.

Daddy Spears , Don't Let your dumbass daughter DRIVE! She has proven herself Over and OVER an irresponsible person who feels she is Entitled to act any damn way she feels!....I believe one day she will or should end up in jail.

Re: Crashee, He should go to a real doctor. My mom was rearended and there was no real damage to her car and she was'nt hurt ( or so she thought) so she didn't exchange info ect. . Afew weeks later, she was in pain! she spent the year going to doctors to help her neck. My Dad was so upset!

This guy could be injured. He could be faking. To everone out there , if you are rearended do see a Dr. and ALWAYS get the info of the other driver ! Also calling the cops should be done. My mom paid out of pocket for all of her treatments!

163. DO NOT ASSUME that all women apply makeup while driving. That is insulting to women that actually have common sense and is totally uncalled for. This remark just shows that TMZ is no better than the other Rags at the checkout line.
