Britney Had Cosmetic Damage Before Crash

Minutes before Britney Spears caused a three car crash on a Saturday night, she was driving the same way most women in L.A. do -- putting on her makeup behind the wheel!

TMZ spoke with the guy she hit, who says before the accident, he was admiring the white Mercedes and the woman putting on makeup while driving it. It wasn't until after she hit him at an estimated 10-15 MPH that he realized the woman was Britney. The man also says he wasn't sure if she was still putting on makeup at the time of the crash.

After the smash up, Britney's bodyguard apologized for the incident, but Britney never got around to doing the same. Brit and the 21-year-old crashee only exchanged a few words, but she did mention she was on the way to dinner with her mom.

As far as the field sobriety test is concerned, the crashee says officers performed the ol' "follow my finger test" on Brit. At first she was giggly, but she got real serious real quick. BTW -- she was the only person involved who was tested. CHP claims the test was S.O.P. telling us, "We do a standard check on most drivers .... especially during those hours."

While no injuries were reported on the scene, the man claims that he woke up with a sore back this morning and is looking into booking an appointment with a chiropractor.

16. Of course he's stiff. How ridiculous. Didn't they say they were in "stop and go traffic"? "10-15 miles per hour"? Puhleez! And if he was admiring the woman behind him so much who was supposed to be putting on makeup who's to say he hadn't already realized it was Britney and wasn't paying attention to the car in front of him? He probably slammed on his brakes to avoid the car in front of him and that's why there were 3 cars involved. Anyone think of that?

17. and to the poster who says that a GP is the doc to go to, not a chiropractor, BS! a GP can do nothing for you expect prescribe pills. a chiropractor can give you PT treatments & adjustments, if deemed necessary, have only helped me in the past. one should always wait, however, at least a week so any inflamation can decrease. and if a person already has previous neck & back problems, being rear-ended can only add to already existing pain.

19. Shouldn't he be paying attention to the cars in front of him and not the woman in the rear view

21. It sounds to me like the 21 year old was too busy looking in his rear view mirror and caused a chain reaction accident.

22. babyluv:

YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.

chiropractors are NOT MEDICAL DOCTORS !

THEY DID NOT GO TO MEDICAL SCHOOL !!!

you go to a BACK SPECIALIST when you hurt your back.

only a FOOL would go to a chiropractor.
they cause long-term, permanent damage to people by loosening joints from all the adjustments.
why do you think people keep running back for more and more adjustments ? b
ecause bones keep falling out of place from the loosened joints !!!!

KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT INSTEAD OF SPREADING AROUND FALSE INFO.
YOU'RE TALKING OUT OF YOUR ASSS.

23. I agree with babyluv. After my accident I did not have any pain for almost 2 months. Then I could hardly sit or lay down. I went to a chiropractor and by my 2nd adjustment I was pain free. The only thing I needed was ibuprofen, no other drugs.

26. Oh geez, I did go to a "real Dr." he was talking about doing back surgery on me. I went to a "highly recommended" chiropractor and it worked for me. I have heard if you do not go to a very good one that it can do more harm than good.

28. Great. Another low-life trying to take Britney for all she's worth. My goodness, hasn't this woman been through enough?! It was an ACCIDENT! And I'm so sure your back hurts so badly you must see a "doctor" from being hit by a small car going "10 mph". LOSER.

29. Britney didn't get his phone number?
That's surprising.

30. Maybe if the guy she hit would have been focused on the traffic ahead instead of being focused on his rear-view mirror and admiring the white Mercedes behind him and the woman driving it he would not have had to slam on the brakes and cause Britney to bump him. And the guy claiming now that he woke up with a sore back today and is talking about booking an appointment with a chiropractor is a sure signal that Britney is going to be the victim of a scam. Also makes me wonder if the whole incident is the age old swoop and squat scam.
