Dr. Phil -- Screwed from the Bottom

TMZ has learned Dr. Phil's legal document wielding, cash-carrying, tough guy was not a supervising producer on the show. He was not an assistant producer. He was not a producer. He was not even close to being a producer. He was a production assistant. Think intern with a paycheck.
Here's the way it all went down: The good Doc's executive staff sent a seasoned producer down to Florida, along with a P.A. to chase the story of 8 teens who allegedly beat a classmate on tape. We're told the folks back home were horrified when they saw Mr. Large-and-In-Charge putting the smackdown on local reporters after springing 17-year-old Mercades Nichols from the pokey. We're told execs on the show were pissed that the experienced producer allowed the P.A. to be in a position to embarrass the show in front of the cameras.

The bigger question -- who hatched the plan to pay the bail for the woman accused of kidnapping and videotaping the brutal beating? The show issued a statement saying certain staff members "went beyond their guidelines," but the buzz on the Paramount lot is that it would be impossible for the producer to pay the $3,300 for the bail and put up $33,000 in collateral without the full knowledge and approval of higher-ups on the show.

The plan could have been pulled off, but after the P.A. mouthed off publicly, Phil's battleship was sunk somewhere off the Florida coast.

We contacted Phil's people an hour ago, who responded by saying they "have no additional comment."

62. Has Dr. Phil ever heard of Shanda Sharer? Maybe he needs to read about the group of skanks who killed her, before he starts bailing out these useless evil excuses for human beings. They all need to rot in jail.

64. I laugh my butt off when I read comments like "A lecture from Dr. Phil would have changed their minds." har har har! Who do you people think this guy is? GOD???? He's not even a real doctor??? Personally I think this and the last major screw up look good on him. He's a pompous ass with a southern drawl. But you know, with out these ass kissers who think he can do no wrong, he would be the big fat nothing he really is. Keep kissing his ass and "Dr." Phil will always be there to tell you how to think and how to act! Fortunately I have a brain and will continue to use it on my own...and I'll get along just fine thanks

65. Besides being a nut-case, Dr. Phil is much too unattractive for TV. His bloated body, his big bald head, his goony looking mustache and his "know it all" attitude makes me want to barf. Most of daytime TV is a vast wasteland - as someone so aptly put it one time.

67. Once again some spoiled attention craving teen(s) get their way.
A parent of one of the teens wants to blame sites like Myspace,Facebook and Youtube instead of placing the blame where it rightfully belongs--it was just a matter of time before someone did.
This is exactly WHY there are so many problems with teenagers now.
Instead of teens (kids) being punished for their actions..mommy and daddy (and in this case a production assistant ) are afraid of their kids (and kids in general) of actually having to be accountable for their actions and deal with the consequences. It will be just a matter of time before these kids become adults and will probably do something even worse.
Parents need to step up and actually punish their children whether it be spanking or not and actually be allowed to without the fear of having someone call the cops and media on them for actually being a parent..then maybe their kids won't get to the point that these teens were.

***************************************************************************************************************
YouTube and MySpace should both be permanently shut down and fined for every single violent and/or disgusting video. They both only breed hatred. I also noticed that most of the lame-brained teenagers on MySpace have those stupid "gansta" poses in their photos, with their tongues sticking out and the dumb hand symbols. (If they only knew how DUMB they look)

70. I doubt if OJ Simpson would even want to play a round of golf or be associated in any way with Phil McGraw. Let him take his UNDESERVED MILLIONS and get off the airwaves and out of the public view for ever.

71. Dr. Phil should now pay the same amount, at least, to the girl who got beaten up. He's going to bail out the criminal, then why not give the victim the same amoutn of money to pay for the years of counseling she is going to need from getting her ass beat on national television??

Dr.Phil and Oprah are both going down in flames. They both think they are God.

72. getabackbone, you are so right. My parents made sure I had to face the consequences of my actions and my husband and I made sure our kids did too. Not to say we didn't take her side when she had a legitimate beef (like insisting the school do something about the bully that was harassing my daughter because of our religion) but when the school suspended her for fighting with the bully, we made her live with it because the school rules say no fighting. The bully got suspended also and his parents pulled him out of the school soon after. We tried to show our children that there are acceptable ways to deal with your problems and violence must be a last resort. The youngest is going off to college in the fall and I don't think the suspension hurt her at all although she had to explain to the college what had happened. (fill in proud weepy mommy smile here)

74. “Shocking - I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Sheriff Grady Judd as he described the
video of a Felony Battery that occurred on March 30, 2008, at 6124 West Calendar Court,
Lakeland, in which six female juveniles attacked a 16-year-old victim while one juvenile male
and one adult male stood outside as “look-outs.” “They lured her into the home for express
purpose of filming the attack and posting it on the Internet. This is outrageous behavior.”
The victim, a 16-year-old Lakeland resident, was staying at the home of one of her attackers,
Mercades Nichols, DOB 1/24/1991, during spring break. At approximately 8:00 pm, the
victim arrived at the residence and was met by Nichols, and Brittini Hardcastle, DOB
9/10/1990, 1242 Thomasville Circle, Lakeland, who both began yelling at the victim and
threatening her.
The victim went into a bedroom and was met by April Cooper, DOB 6/12/1993, 1111 West
Greenwood Street, Lakeland, who began insulting and threatening her. Cooper, who had
been hiding, then struck the victim several times in the face, and slammed the victim’s head
into the bedroom wall, knocking the victim unconscious as others were videotaping.
When the victim awoke, she was on the couch in the living room surrounded by Cooper,
Nichols, Hardcastle, Cara Murphy, DOB, 01/02/1992, 2762 Highlands Creek Drive, Lakeland,
Britney Mayes, DOB 01/20/1991, 1111 West Greenwood Street, Lakeland, and Kayla
Hassell, DOB 10/13/1992, 4575 Old Colony Road, Mulberry.
The victim said it was at that time that all of the suspects began hitting and yelling at her while
it was being video taped. At one point in the video, it is plain to see that the suspects blocked
the victim from leaving the residence.
- MORE -
During the incident, two additional suspects, Zachary Ashley, DOB 3/11/1991, 6116
Calendar Court West, Lakeland, and Stephen Schumaker, DOB 10/20/1989, 6020
Calendar Court, Lakeland, acted as “look-outs” while the attack was occurring.
After the attack was over, three of the suspects forced the victim into a vehicle and drove
her to another location where she was finally released with a threat from the suspects
warning her not to contact law enforcement or she would be beaten even worse.
Once at a friend’s home, she called law enforcement and was transported to Lakeland
Regional Medical Center by ambulance for injuries sustained as a result of the beating.
On the video, the teenage victim can be seen being beaten while the suspects video
taped the crime, laughed, and encouraged one another to hurt the victim. All of the
juvenile suspects were transported to the Juvenile Assessment Center without further
incident. The single adult, Schumaker was taken to the Polk County Jail. All suspects
were charged with Felony Battery and False Imprisonment.
Mayes, Hardcastle, and Nichols are the three juvenile suspects who forced the victim into
the vehicle and drove the victim to another location. They are charged additionally with
Felony Kidnapping.

75. This is exactly the kind of story that vindicates TMZ.

There they were, with their cameras and they got the story.
Dr. Phil, a "REAL MEDIA PREDATOR" caught hook line and sinker.
Had they not been there when this so called PA tried to protect the exclusivity agreement with the show, Phil McGraw would not have been exposed for the predatory media whore that he is.

Who says TMZ doesn't provide a necessary and invaluable service to the community.
