How utterly selfish of you. Next time you are a victim of a crime perhaps the community could pull together and come up with the cash to bail your assailant out. If you're super lucky maybe they'll end up on television spewing the scripted "truth".

28. I cannot believe that any Parent or Grandparent would like that anyone of these girls deserves anything but jail time! How do you over look the fact that they beat her till she passed out and then beat her some more, besides taping the whole thing. They had to have planned this ahead of time and where were you parents? Please dont give me that your raising these kids alone. That is a lame excuse. You need to let these girls take responsibility for their actions. If you allow this to be a pity party, who is stop them from the next victim? Maybe that next one will be you or their kids!

Let them have the grown up punishment as they certainly didnt act like little kids during this! Hopefully they can be saved and rehabilitated, but that is a very slim chance. Sad to see these teens with such a waste of a life. What happened to movies, rollerskating, hanging at the mall? When did beating someone silly become a sport?
My advice to the parents, GET INVOLVED IN THEIR LIVES!!!! If you are involved, they are less likely to do crap like this!

30. I live in Florida, near Polk County. These girls are pure American trash. They had no remorse for what they did when they were arrested. They even made jokes that they were not going to be able to go to the beach that weekend. I think they should have a choice. Life in prison, or the military. Nothing less. These type of kids were not raised with parents who care or took resposibilty in raising their children. So they have the menatality, they are teenagers, they cant get in trouble. I think it is most appropriate that they go to court as adults. Go to prison, and in time they will realise the animalistic behavior they taped. I know it sounds harsh, but they are basically a waste of air. I hate the thought that my tax dollars are going to pay for their prison times. Even if the victim was a bully. No one deserves to be held against their will and beaten to unconsciousness. I wish it was an eye for an eye, and they could each be beaten just like the victim. But since we dont do that in America. Then they should have their freedom taken away from them. And thier parents should be held accountable for not raising their kids correctly. I hear the grandma of one of the suspects talking about her granddaughter. She said nothing about how tragic it was. She said she just wanted to ask her what she was thinking. ??? The girl knew what she was thinking, and doing. She does not have any remorse. So prison is the only option for her. She is not an acceptable human being for scoiety. Is it my imagination, or does Florida have all the trailer trash? And I am not knocking Florida, I live here. But most of the horrible crimes happening in America seem to come from Florida. In one county alone, 5 teachers were arrested for having sex with students in a 4 month perios. Three of them female teachers. What is going on in Hillsborough and Pold county??
