Javier's In No Country for Butch Men
Javier Bardem -- who is dating Tom Cruise's ex -- bro'd out in Madrid over the weekend with a hand-holding, leg-rubbing bud.
They are both European though ... not that there's anything wrong with that.

1. So maybe Tom's ex like gay men.
Posted at 4:04PM on Apr 16th 2008 by did I say that out loud?
2. Latin's are very passionate people not to mention GREAT lover's!

3. Um, there's clearly a chick behind the guy and she is holding his hands (not Javier, the other guy)! Idiots.

4. No straight man is going to let another man put his hand on his leg not even if you are Latin.

5. I'm Spanish, like them. That's quite normal in Spain. If two men are sure of their sexuality that move it's a rediculous thing.

7. I am the first to look for Gay, but this isn't it. It's just less insecure men talking together in a loud club.

8. Looks pretty gay to me. Early in the beginning he kisses the guy on the side of the head and letting that other guy hold his leg. That's pretty gay.

9. What's the Newsflash? Americans are WAY too "touchy" about guys touching guys. Obviously these guys are having a good time and don't have the same hang-ups you do! ya big homophobe!

10. DEAR TMZ---AND ALL OF YOU WHO THINK THIS IS WEIRD AND GAY:
NOT ONLY ARE THEY NOT GAY, BUT THEY ARE COUSINS!!! AS IN, THEY'VE KNOWN EACH OTHER ALL OF THEIR LIVES!!
SOOOO--THAT'S THE STORY.
JAVIER IS ALL MAN!!!
Posted at 4:35AM on Apr 17th 2008 by U R delicious, Bardem!
11. Regardless of whether he is gay or bisexual or not, I for one think it absolutely great that some countries don't bash an eye if two guys want to chat intimately and when feeling a little amorous, hold hands. Chicks do it all the time in North American clubs. And European men do it too!
American men are still all so "alpha-male". grrr, grrr, thump chest, join fraternity
ugh
It'd be nice if we could hold the hand or give a kiss on the cheek to a man or a woman without judgement and stares. Unfortunately, Americans, with their crosses draped around their neck, are so tightly wound about how exactly boys and girls should behave, that when that script is crossed, TMZ and the rest of them, go in for the kill.

12. But, are they kissing cousins?
And, was Tom's ex a guy?

13. I fully understand that different ethnicities have dissimilar means of showing affection towards others, so I am not passing [negative] judgment at all! BUT, I do think it's completely HOTT that he has such a strong sense of [innocent] love for his bud and doesn't mind showing it. It is most undoubtedly straight-oriented affection, but still, Javier is so damn amazing! ...such a great talent and looker!!

14. That's Spanish actor Luis Tosar he's with. They co-starred in the award-winning Spanish movie "Los Lunes al Sol" as well as
Michael Mann's "Miami Vice". I'm not too sure that they are cousins, though. This kind f behaviour between men is by no means considered gay in Spain, where male friends and family kiss each other affectionately on the cheek all the time. Close physical contact is considerably more frequent here and personal space between people considerably more reduced compared to the States. People simply touch each other here! You should acquire some more cross-cultural competence before sentencing someone's sexual tendencies.

go to Spain sometime......you will see that they work to live, not live to work. they enjoy life and are passionate people........nothing gay going on here. Just old friends a little tipsy having a conversation in a loud bar.
also FYI, Javier and Penelope are both Spainards and worked together as far back as 1992 in Jamon Jamon.....a criticly acclaimed film. http://imdb.com/title/tt0104545/
