Brit Takes It In the End

The commissioner in the Britney Spears conservatorship case has just ordered that a sh*tload of fees be paid to various lawyers in the case -- and Brit, of course, will foot the bill.

The Commish has ordered that court-appointed lawyer Sam Ingham can get up to $10,000 a week through July 31. What the hell is wrong with hiring Jacoby and Meyers?

But that's just the beginning. Andrew Wallet, a co-conservator, just got the green light for up to $100,000. And the Luce Forward law firm will get up to $175,000, and that's just for their work through March 31.

Clark Byam, another attorney, will get $22,500. Stacy Phillips, the lawyer repping Brit in the family law case, will get up to $75,000 for work through March 31.

And Brit pays it all. Ding dang, y'all. Where's Shakespeare when ya need him?

37. Brit shouldn't have to pay ALL of these. WTF?! They are taking advantage of her wealth. Someone should definitely look into this. I bet you they are charging the maximum fees. I bet the commish is probably getting a percentage of this. Britney, you need to get strong and take over your affairs now before you are broke! The word itself scares me.

This is just the second round in legal fees Brit has been tagged with in this conservatorship action and we have still only seen the tip of an enormous financial burden Britney will be saddled with. Ya ain't seen nothin' yet! There is still a slew of huge legal fees coming, not the least of which will be from Pa Spears' attorney Jeryll Cohen, among whose fees will be that $40000-plus fee which the federal court refused to order John Eardley to pay in his attempt to move the case to federal jurisdiction. And although all legal fees when totaled in the final tally will dwarf fees from psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, clinical social workers, and then all the fees relevant to staffing home incarceration, I expect the total tally of all those other fees other than attorney fees will be a quarter of a million dollars or more. This conservatorship is nothing more than a self-serving self-generating machine and Pa Spears has been throwing Brit's money into it ever since he cranked it up. When this man is finished and realizes what he has done to exhaust the remainder of his daughter's fortune, I expect, if he has any conscience at all and capacity to feel shame, he will go back to Louisiana when this is over and take a hike into the woods and blow his brains out.

I agree she should pay for being a bad mother and so should every person who ever does anything bad to their children, or makes a mistake, or lets their kid fall down, or puts them in a situation that is dangerous (ie, sending them to school, leaving them with a sitter, letting them go to their friends houses, driving them, letting them participate in sports). Come on people there is no reason she should have to fork up $10,000 a week for a court appointed attorney when those losers don't make more than $60,000 a year, does this mean the government is paying $10,000 per week for court appointed attorney because if so I'm going back to finish law school. And the co-conservator gets $100,000 I thought they were supposed to be keeping her from spending ridiculous amount of money.
Hey people I can't stand the girl but even I can see that they are taking her for a ride and guess what that's money that could be going to her kids not a bunch of leeches.

45. Liberty, its obvious that you are the most ignorant person alive!! why don't you research mental illnesses and see if maybe some of the simptoms there fit you! Its obvious that Britney had a mental illness and i'm sure she now realizes what happened, but life goes on, do you expect her to put head down in shame for something she had NO control of? of course not, instead she is dealing with all the problems one step at a time; its called recovery!!!
