Congressman to Ric Flair: "Woooo!"

16. I had a daughter wrestler (from years 5-12). I met Rick Flair at wrestling tournments where his son was wrestling. He was mean to little kids, his own son, and everyone else. When REAL wrestlers (men who wrestled through out their elementary through high school) would confront him for being rude to their children, he backed down like a little wimp. REAL WRESTLING coaches, that gave up their careers and college educations for their familes need to be honored. Not this peice of trash.

17. Unkil Bill.....i agree with your comments, too, however,...i think Fritz Von Erich is a bad example....
How much pressure, could he have put on the boys for them to commit Suicide !!! (Except David, who died "mysteriously" in Japan). Like him or not, I think Terry Bollea put professional wrestling on the map. Ric Flair, was a TRUE professional wrestler/entertainer, but Hulk/Vince put it on the map.

23. Wrestling may be "fake"...but they bust their butt 300+ days a year and Flair did it for 30+ years. They work a hundred times harder than most people and they get crapped on because despite their unbelievable athletism/dedication/entertainment to billions of people..........in the end all people say is "it's fake".

24. Here's a question for you on the subject of honoring someone for something that is FAKE - is this any different from someone honoring any great film or TV actor who won awards for their acting? These individuals are receiving awards for their PORTRAYAL of people (fictitious or non-fictitious) in film or TV... is that not FAKE, too?

25. As a one time Proffessional wrestler, I can tell you that when Rick Flair first started proffessional wrestling was 75% real
and 25% show, he suffered a lot of broken bones and multible injurys during his career and is a gentleman and a great
sportsman.

29. What I see is someone showing RESPECT to someone for their efforts and career. This is something TMZ will never know of. Harvey Levin will NEVER have respect shown to him because of the gutter quality product he pushes using 8th grade dropouts. Take a look at Harvey and his crew. Can you say losers?
