Dita Von Teese's Swan Song

Dita Von Teese is pissed at a guy who was supposed to build her a swan, but the frickin' bird malfunctioned so she's suing!

TMZ has obtained a lawsuit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, in which Von Teese claims she hired the defendant, Fred Knaff, to build her a 10-foot-high swan with a fountainhead in the beak in which she could perform her act, which she calls "Swan Lake" -- we think it's a catchy name.

Bottom line, she says she paid Knaff thousands of dollars but the damn swan's water component malfunctioned at the debut of her show in Toronto in November of last year. She sent the swan back in a box, Knaff refuses to fix or return it. Now poor Dita says she can't perform without it and it's cost her more than $200,000.

Dita is suing for unspecified damages.

33. Repressive society? I don't think strutting around naked reflects on society, it reflects on her self esteem. Someone taught her that it is ok to act like a slut, and whore her body for money. I would not want children to think that she is anything to be admired or imitated. Women who have class and are educated look at someone like her and feel embarassment for the female gender. In a few years when she is middle aged, she will be despised by the very men who pay her now. How sad to have contributed nothing to society but prostituting herself.

37. Mia: See this is what I mean you assume that since Dita deos Burlesque she is trying to do the exact thing society as a whole deos which is push their ideoligies on to others. Never have I ever seen Dita go out and promote Burlesque as a career to anyone. Women who have class and education usually have a more refined way of disagreeing without resorting to name calling (as per your name calling her a slut) Im judging that you have never seen a burlesque show or a las vegas show so I understand your understanding of what geos on in these are not based on first hand knowledge. You may not even really want to know, which is your freedom of choice. However making assumptions on what transpires in these shows without firsthand knowledge is something a classy woman with education would never do because it makes them look like a idiot. It would be wonderful if we could live in a world where people would refrain from throwing judgements at people doing stuff that deos not effect their life in anyway. However since the world is not perfect we must embrace the ideology that name callers are mere reminders that we need to be greatful that smart educated(and education comes from more places then school it also encludes life experiance) people who never have to resort to name calling.

41. 25. Dita is an amazingly beautiful artiste. She is strong and confident with her sensuality/sexuality; and that frightens a lot of people in our buttoned-down, repressive society. No matter what she is doing, she manages to pull it off looking like a Goddess!
