46. You guys failed to mention she stayed 2 hours later than scheduled to make up for the time frame.
The reason she was late was because she was doing an interview on KISS FM in LA
Her REAL fans & not the "bandwagon" fans know by now that Mariah has never been on time for anything & I don't think she's gonna start now.
Anyway, it sounds like 4 people booing really loud, it's probably a pissed of stalkerazzi guy that couldn't get up close to pounce on her when she did come.
I think your all upset cause a female minority not only beat the "all mighty" Elvis, but will break the Beatles record this time too.
I think she should be commended on signing 900 autographs that night. The store has said
Mariah will sign the remaining 100 people waiting Cd's & mail them out to their homes.
Name another celebrity of her status let alone any celebrity period that would sit down & sign 900 copies of something????? I didn't think so.

47. #8, you make it seem like Mariah is forcing her fans to buy her music. If you think about it, every musician is using their fans to "benefit" their bank account. Who isn't in the music industry for the dough??! And everyone is insulting her because she was late. Does anyone know why she was late? No, because people are always quick to jump down someone's throat for every little thing. So what she was 2 hours late? She probably had a lot of things on her plate.

48. Every time a MC story is teased, I physically cringe. She has an amazing voice- or at least she did the last time I voluntarily listened to her music- but she really has painted herself as an extremely vain diva. A shame, as those close to her have always said how sweet she is. Above & beyond anything else, MC demonstrated a lack of professionalism & basic manners. Even appearing late could have been glossed over, but she did not handle the situation very well when she finally did arrive. A little time & attention paid to the people who buy her music and essentially put her where she is today- that would have been polite. Not once did I hear her apologize to her fans who had waited for so long. She did however, take the time to fix her make-up. Couldn't she have done THAT in the car?
So many of the Hollywood divas are self made- their diva status created in their own heads. Then the paps feed into that. The word diva has become negative: a label for self-absorbed, over-spending women who believe themselves to be better than others. A true diva is a woman who holds herself with an air of dignity, knows their own worth and above all else, is gracious. I see very little of that in our modern-day "divas". They could learn much from those who came before them.
