47. Alicia may have been misquoted, but other than the conspiracy theory she wasn't far off the mark. There is no conspiracy. When the fat cats at the big labels saw how much money NWA and others like them were making off of their lyrics that glorified criminal activity they jumped on the band wagon and spread the poison on a wide scale. As with all things they rode it as far as it would go. Now it's not making as much money as it used to and we are seeing less and less of it, thank God. Now that they see Kanye is doing big numbers without the violence maybe they will give us more of that. Just as they have jumped on the southern party rap and have started flooding the market with that. 50 Cent is not an intelligent individual, but his stardom has put him in a position to be heard sounding like an idiot more often than not. I'm embarrassed for him and have no doubt he will blow the money that was given to him as part of an enorsement deal, not from some wise investment.

48. To #20 your comments made me very emotional because you are exactly correct. It doesn't matter what race, creed or color you come from, hate is hate and it comes from somewhere, i.e.the parents, or lack there of and the destructive influences that our kids are exposed to. We all play a role in this. Let's do the right thing.Always, no matter what. Even if if you encounter criticism. Bottom line, we reap what we sow. 54. To all the idiots that THINK Keys was "misquoted", IF she truly was she would have sued in a heartbeat to clear her name, - she didn't. Also, what about the militant necklace? 59. Star, the dichotomy between your chosen name and the ignorance of your post is profoundly ironic and humorous almost to the level of Monty Python. Perhaps, if you read, sorry, my mistake, if you watched more television, you would appreciate the fact, that no one at TMZ called Ms. Keys anything derrogatory, infact the entire headline was an hommage to a long running Saturday night skit featuring Chevy Chase (back many decdes ago when SNL was still funny, relevant, and satirically impartial) in which Chevy would dismiss his female anchor by the statement "Jane you ignorant slut". Satire, Star, is meant to point out the deficiencies and prejudicies in society in a humorous fashion to allow for social or political change - or atleast point out the hypocrisy of the lack of change - and in this case SNL was revealing the lack of respect for women. 50 Cent, Snoop Dog and the rest of the African-American, Caucasian-American and other hate and crime promoting ilk show that many decades later the mistreatment and dismissiveness of women is still sadly prevelant in our global society. And you, dear Star, reveal that ignorance is even more prevelant, however, the freedom of speech doctrine and the internet allows anyone to post anything whether foolish, ignorant, uneducated, hateful, criminal, or simply stupid.

And Kelly643, thank you for your wonderful comments, but I cannot take credit for the work, my kids are the inspiration, decent America the voice, and I am merely the one who is typing at the keyboard. Keep up the good fight, remember there will always be more good people throughout the world than the ignorant and bigoted otherwise men like Bush, Bin Ladin, Hagee, Farakhan, and the long list of others would have deystoryed this planet a long time ago.
