"Idol" Reject Claims, The Show's Unfair!

Carmen RasumsenNot all "Idols" are treated the equally -- apparently some aren't even given a fighting chance, at least according to former contestant Carmen Rasmusen.

Rasmusen was on "Idol" back in 2 aught 3, going head to head (pun intended) with Clay Aiken. She told the Deseret News, most finalists were given "minimal voice coaching," but Clay's coach was on him like white on rice. To add insult to vocal injury, they had the same coach. Carmen says she threw a Hail Mary and hired her own coach, with pathetic results.

She went home in sixth place, to lead a life of obscurity and bitterness.

46. I couldn't stand Goat Girl. She was ripped to shreds on bolt.com mercilessly. We even had a character called DumptheGoatGirl.

49. Hey this is Jayme and JJ I posted twice because I did not know the first post worked what a moron. Thanks for the info on Clay's new CD will look for it. I was not into Idol back then but I saw him on the season 5 finale and he was hot. I was not trying to look smart I thought Clay won I said I was not watching the show that season. If Clay did not win he sure has had the most press. Whenever I see a list of the people who have done well after Idol it is always Carrie (my fave) Kell C. Daughtry (love that CD) and Clay. He is one of the four of the most successful people off that show so yeah I thought he won. I know Chris didn't win but he should have.

50. Clay won in every way that counts. He's sold millions and millions of CDs, earned over 35 million in concert tours and is a fantastic singer, songwriter, author, actor and humanitarian.

Carmen is just jealous she didn't have what it takes.

52. She has a name? To me she shall forever be "Goat Girl", the bleating wonder.

53. I agree with Carmen, that the show is rigged. But also agree that Clay is much
more talented.

When it comes to the final 6, you can tell who is going to be in the final. Voters start to have problems voting for their favorites; such as the line going dead, or a voice telling the voter, "Sorry, you have reached a wrong number, and on and on. That is, unless you vote for the one they want in the final. It's happened to me over several years.

54. Stop whining over crap that happened years ago.... I'll be the first to admit that Clay is not my fave, he's wayyy too David Guest for me and I'm not very fond of his music either, but Carmen needs to get a grip on herself and find a different profession. Maybe the reason the show didn't give you more vocal lessons is because they thought you sucked, were tired of hearing that nauseating yodeling you call singing and wanted you off the show!

55.
just another sore loser; she couldnt make the cut and is still bitter about it because no one cares and her career never took off ; oh, except for county fairs!! lol puh-lese. we'll probably see her begging playboy to be in a pictorial so she can pretend to be somebody

56. MAYBE THE VOICE COACH KNEW THERE WAS LITTLE USE IN WORKING WITH HER.
SHE WAS NOT A GREAT SINGER. INFACT SHE SHOULDN'T HAVE GONE AS FAR AS SHE DID.
SHE WAS CUTE, BUT CLAY HAD A VERY STRONG VOICE. I DON'T THINK HIS SINGING NEEDED THAT MUCH WORK I THINK THE APPERANCE IS WHAT REALLY NEEDED A MAKE OVER AND THE AI PEOPLE DID A REALLY GOOD JOB,

57. she must have sucked I dont even remember who she was. anyone else remember her ????

Posted at 8:49AM on Apr 20th 2008 by stephanie Brown

58. I remember her, she was okay. She came in sixth, that is good. She could have had a career if she put her heart and soul into having a career and not be angry because her 'career' didn't fall in her lap. If she wants to have a career as a singer/musician/actress or whatever, the door had been open for her but she didn't go through it. She should go knock on that door again and work for what she wants.

59. to reply to "just my opinon" maybe you should (or ought) to invest in a dictionary.
ought means should. you ought to look up words you don't know before looking like an ass.
aught means zero or cipher.

60. Carmen Rasmussen does have a music video that has played on CMT and GAC in the past few months. Also, my friend's sister gets insider info from someone at AI. This person told her that the votes ARE tampered with! She was assured 2 weeks ago, on Wednesday morning that her fave, Michael Johns, was SAFE. But received an email later that same afternoon saying things changed and he was no longer safe!! In the credits' fine print, it does state that AI producers reserve the right to 'change' votes around, probably to benefit who they have long ago chosen as their favorite! I have since stopped calling. No sense wasting MY votes since they aren't really counted anyway.
