KRS Keeps the Boogie Down after Smackdown

KRS Nothing like a little flying glass to help preach non-violence!

Old-school rap legend KRS-One was hospitalized in New Haven, CT with a fractured hand last night when a "fan" threw a bottle on stage, striking the rapper in the head and hand. And get this: KRS was performing in New Haven on his Stop the Violence tour. Jesus take the wheel!

The concert-goer was upset because club security had removed him from the stage, according to AllHipHop.com. The rapper had to cancel several upcoming appearances due to the severity his injuries. The best thing, though? He kept rappin' even after getting hit!

Instead of going all Lil' Wayne on the fan, KRS-One practiced what he preached and asked that the offender not be prosecuted, telling fans after he was hit, "Let it go. Let it go. When negativity comes your way, let it go." Of course he was probably delusional from all the blood he lost.

As of today, New Haven police have no file reported of the incident.

Take your pick of walking through either a bad black or bad white hood.

If you value your life you will always pick the bad white hood. Period, end of challenge and discussion.

We're all afraid, they will hurt you. The reasons or statistics are no longer important when its you that is the one who is afraid.

I wont go near a black hood unless its middle class and there arent a whole lot of them around. And dont lie, you wont dare vernture into a black bad hood even if you are black yourself. You know who it works...you just trying to be PCabout things.

PC dont count when its you being stalked or about to be preyed upon. Better hope you are armed.

51. Wow. KRS-ONE is a living legend and is an example to any young person (white,black,purple, or green) on how to be a good human being. His music always makes me smile because he speaks the truth. Boom Bap is one of my favorite albums of all time. I can't say what it's like being a black youth living in a poverty because I'm a white boy from the burbs, but I can tell you this...Hurt people, hurt people. DJ RED ALERT R.I.P.

52. KRS One definitely showed a lot of restraint and panache. This concert was held at Yale, so why are you assuming the bottle thrower was black. It just states how racist you all are. rap concert +act of violence = black bottle thrower. Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions. The only thing I would like to add about racism, it is true as another poster stated that a person's upbringing or nurturing has a lot to do with how they will pursue life. Parents REALLY

53. i was at that show in newhaven and when i saw that i couldnt believe it. when he got hit with the bottle he told security to not even worry about or do anything to the dumbass who through it. Then after handling the the situation like he did, he said that is how you have to handle your situations. AWESOME SHOWS BiGGS Ups TO the TEACHA
