Ex-Manager to Chappelle: Pay Up, Bitch!

A former manager says that Dave Chappelle went all, well, Dave Chappelle on him and ditched out on a settlement deal they made.
Dave Chappelle
Mustafa Abuelhija settled a 2005 lawsuit with Chappelle after he was fired abruptly. The settlement called for Abuelhija to receive 10% of the profits from "Dave Chappelle's Block Party," 10% of the money Chappelle got from seasons 2, 3 and 4 of "Chappelle's Show" and 10% of any money he received for the comedy special "For What It's Worth." So far, he claims, he hasn't gotten anything.

According to a new suit, filed in New York, Abuelhija claims Chappelle has taken in close to $1.2 mil since they signed the settlement -- and he feels he's entitled to 10% of it. Reminder to Mustafa -- this is a guy who ran out on 50 million bucks and went to Africa.

Chappelle's lawyer didn't immediately return a call for comment.

21. 5. Chappelle sucks. He's a crackhead who screwed over a ton of people (add one more to the pile), and he also abuses his wife. Only lowlifes look up that sleaze. His show wasn't even funny.

i chose to use 'wait what' as the greatest example of ignorance...
1- chappelle is not a crackhead - he played one on tv. actually he's a weedhead.

2-he is arguably the best modern comic since richard pryor, the direct torchbearer in the lineage of redd foxx, eddie murphy, et al... (& everybody knows this) he is politically astute, intelllectually erudite, with a sense of the absurd that gave him the type of ratings that support and define an entire network - comrdy central which brings us to our next point:

3- this is the most important part -- dave chappelle could afford to walk away from the next season's offer of 50 million dollars, because with the sales of his dvds, (parts 1&2 the best selling of all time) he already had $40 million. he felt that his vision was being compromised, & felt (correctly) that the american public would take his routines on race & politics, & turn them into something that he did not intend. this message board proves him right.

4- far from screwing over tons of people, he got screwed by the very white partner that he helped to make famous.

wait what sounds like just such a person. a jealous interloper who, with no facts or proof talks out of his ass. you are an idiot, wait what, & you will never be the star that dave -- deservedly -- is.

some simple research would show you that far from being a crackhead loser, he is someone who took his (ample) money & ran when it became obvious that the american public & media could not wait to turn him into a britney or any of these other addled messes regularly stalked by people like you, & misinfromed outlets like tmz.

beating his wife - that's rich.

where'd you get that one? national enquirer?

idiot.
