Ever think maybe John and Justin went because they knew her father and not just to comfort Cameron? If I was close to, or even just friendly with, my ex's parents and they (heaven forbid) passed away, I'd go to the funeral(s). Not to comfort the ex but to show my respect for the person who passed and to "say goodbye".
As for the clothes... if anyone shows up to my funeral/memorial service/celebration of life dressed in black or in "church-like" attire, I'm going to haunt them 'til ~they~ die. I've found that the "customary" attire for funerals only adds to the feeling of loss and sadness and isn't helpful in the grieving process. (and I've been to far more funerals than I care to remember)

51. I think Cameron ask everyone to dress like that but I still think John Mayer has no class. I believe Justin knew her dad since they dated so long but I do not think John knew her dad. I think John is looking for his next hook up. I see John's hype machine starting up since he has a tour to sale. Everytime he has something to sale his paid crew hit the internet posting about him.

54. Everyone was asked to dress very casual, since this was a memorial service, not a funeral. This man was my friend's uncle and instead of mourning him, they celebrated his life.
