He was adopted by a (technical) princess, a woman who married a prince that later died. A-Hole(I don't like him either, I just hate when people can't do research) does not, however have any ties to the throne or any royal blood. And to jump on the bandwagon many other users have populated, if you think this guy is such a nobody, TMZ, why do you bombard us with articles every time he takes a crap? Seriously, has the lack of Britney Spears-esque antics and insanity truly given you nothing better to report on than this douche? The writer's strike is over, if you don't step it up a notch or two we will all leave here and report back to our regularly scheduled programming.

So, Von Anhalt is no different from most "royals", they all got their titles by hook or by crook.
Most Europeans countries do not recognize such titles anymore, so these royals live in fantasy world.

58. To #50 - Hello Moron. I'm not sure what you're complaining about hasn't been 'researched' - you're repeating what I said but say I'm "just as smart" as the person who keeps yelling Anhalt's not a prince... huh?

In Europe, royal titles are a thriving business, and anybody who wants to be a prince, goes to a title broker, makes an arrangement and gets adopted. Anhalt made payments of 2000 Deutschmark a month to Marie Auguste von Anhalt, daughter-in-law of the last German emperor Wilhelm, rather than buying the title outright, and fortunately for him, she didn't live too long so he got the title fairly cheap. Once he had the title, he doled out knight titles for 12000 Deutschmark a piece to anybody who wanted a title themselves. You can read all about that on his German "fan site" at fanclub-frederic.de.to/

If you go to the actual official web site of the Anhalts, www.anhalt-askanien.de, you will find a snarky comment about adult adoption right in Germany and listings of the "real Anhalts" by birth. Don't cry about research when you yourself don't know where to look.
