At nearly 7'2", Kiel suffers from a hormonal condition called acromegaly.
Richard has four children with his second wife.

17. I remember also he was on a Lassie episode in his younger days. Most guys his size are usually dead long before 60. It sucks he can't really walk around.

18. I Met Mr. Kiel at Ceasars Palace last year. We talked for a good deal of time and he let me take a couple of pix for my grandson (yeh right, my grandson). Anyway, he is a cool guy, I hope he is doing well.

24. I believe he's still living near Fresno (CA). I saw him once (years ago), going into a Chinese restaurant, there. Seemed like a really nice guy.

28. My husband and I met him in 1999 at a high school basketball game. Our son was only seven weeks old and he took a couple of pictures holding him. He showed us pictures of his latest grandchild. His wife and him were very nice. He is a gentle giant.
