Britney Works Belly, Then Works Fans

For the first time in a while, Britney Spears lost that glazed over look and actually looked happy.

Showing signs of progress at Bally's, Brit had paps cheering her on as she did crunches -- and the poster child for conservatorships even took time to show a fan some love on her way out. Looks like 5150 ain't nothin' but a number.

47. Thank you, OCD. I agree! Money or no money, male or female, there comes a time when one needs to take responsibility for ones actions.

48. Yes, today is Earth Day.

Also, the day before yesterday was Adolf Hitler's birthday. Next Monday will be Saddam Hussein's birthday.

I share your frustrations. Yes, Britney (and other celebs) are treated differently. Yes, it is unfair.

What I find most frustrating is that so many times we (being the public, the media buying, movie-going, concert-going) public have treated them differently also. We put up with their outrageousness on film and on stages. When someone like Akon acts out, or Snoop Dogg gets caught (again) with drugs and weapons, there's always an easy excuse at hand for them.

The public is as much at fault for the difference in treatment of these individuals as the courts. We're feeding the machine and that machine runs on money and media attention. Many of these "celebrities" are just giving us what we want...what we are willing to pay for.

And we wonder why the internet porn industry is bigger than any industry in the world.

50. You are SO right, A.B. People who make fun of a person's mental illness must be mentally ill themselves. Personally I'm glad that Britney is getting on track again. Hope the snakes she used to associate with are gone.

51. I wonder...is it that years ago you had to actually have some talent to get anywhere in hollyweird making it impossible for all these talentless bozos to get camera time or is it that years ago there weren't sites like tmz to bring attention to this loser bunch of celebutards we see everywhere today?

52. I fail to see what the big mystery is here. She's a mentally ill, drug abusing world class narcissist, with a poor education, very questionable hygiene, and is an extremely bad parent who was led by the nose and spoiled rotten by a marketing machine with a crazed stage mom and an alcoholic father who abandoned her at an early age. What's so damn surprising?

I think I understand what you mean. However, there were probably many classic Hollywood stars that had just as many problems, issues and legal wranglings as they do now. It is just that the media was "controlled" by the movie moguls and they knew which side their bread was buttered on, so they only reported what the movie moguls wanted.

Tales of Fatty Arbuckle, Charlie Chaplain, "Mommie Dearest", John Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe, and other exploits didn't become fodder for tabloids and the public until later. The lid was kept on and kept on tightly.

There is a difference between their "right to privacy" and our "right to know". If we have much "right to know", it certainly wouldn't involve peering through windows, climbing up trees and trying to catch people in compromising positions.

I wouldn't want them peering in my windows or perching in my trees. I'd shoot first, confiscate the film and then answer questions afterwards.

55. I think she is trying, and probably on the correct medication...not one that is made for her by the supposed friend. I hope soon she can have a real relationship with her boys. I am living proof that people can change, just by liking theirselves.

Oh, hell. We can't always agree. If we do, running down the middle of the road is going to get crowded. I want to be at the front of the line, too, because I don't want to be riding drag and having to eat dust all day long.

59. She looks good. So back off jerks. I bet she looks a whole lot better than most of you who are posting bad comments. Maybe her mom was right about ex-manger sam druging her cause she's doing a hell of alot better since he's been gone.
