Country Singer Accused of Assaulting Non-Fan

Miranda LambertMiranda Lambert -- a finalist on the 2003 season of "Nashville Star" -- is accused of assaulting a woman just because she didn't know who Lambert was!

Aisha Esbay, the alleged victim, tells TMZ she was sitting at a bar with friends when one of them recognized Lambert and wanted a pic. Esbay approached Lambert, said she didn't know her but her friend wanted a photo.

Lambert, Esbay says, was pissed, and shoved her into a bar stool -- multiple times.

Smith County Sherriff's Dept. tells TMZ they're investigating. At worst, they say, it will be a Class C misdemeanor -- kinda like a violent speeding ticket.

Lambert's reps tell TMZ they're in the dark about the whole thing.

62. give over this...miranda is a badass and she would not do that...that bitch that wants to make a big deal about it obviously needs to get more than just a push...she is just starving for attention and just wants to be on tv...she cant ruin miranda...so get a damn life...miranda has way better things to do than worry about some stupid bitch in a bar...SERIOUSLY....MOVE ON!!

63. Wouldn't be surprised one bit if she reacted that way unprovoked. The entire Lambert family is questionable when it comes to common sense. Some people can handle fame and continue their success...it is my opinion that this is a person that will slowly dwindle on that spiral to nowhere. Let me follow that up with a big YEEHAW.....

64. You guys are commenting like you know exactly what happened, like you were there. I think it's pathetic that you read the TMZ website and automatically think that what they reported is what happened! I bet you read the National Enquirer on a daily basis too! Honestly, I think there's probably a LOT more to the story than meets the eye. What I would like to know is if it was such a big deal, why didn't the "victim" report it sooner, why did she wait until Monday? Probably because she wanted to concoct her version of what happened and make sure she had her story straight - she didn't want to screw up and tell different stories. I've met Miranda before, and she was nothing but nice to me. I think someone needs to tell Aisha that her 15 minutes of fame are almost over.

65. For all of you people who THINK you know what happened, give me a break! I was actually there that night, along with a hundred other people, and saw nothing of this sort! It's kinda funny how only one person saw this happen other than the "victim". Miranda was in her own roped off section of the bar, where a bouncer stood by letting people in and out. How did this "victim" even get to Miranda? And with all the people around her, they just let her push some poor girl into a barstool over and over again?? I don't think so, not to mention there were no bar stools in her section!! So before all you people go around judging someone you don't know, get your facts straight! And to actually listen to all this TMZ garbage and believe it...that's a whole different argument!

67. What anyone thinks of Miranda's music has absolutely nothing to do with anything, so the bashing is childish and uncalled for... but hey, whatever helps you sleep at night. If you weren't there, then there is really no reason to comment.

Having said that, I WAS THERE on Saturday night (and the entire weekend specifically for Adam's shows and Miranda's benefit). I (among with several other people) was at Bootlegger's BEFORE Miranda and Blake got there, was back in the VIP section with them before Adam went on, and left AFTER they left. Absolutely nothing like that went down at all during the entirety of the night. There were not many people there; if something like that had happened, I would think that someone else would have witnessed it and a scene would have been made. There were many fairly good-sized bouncers RIGHT there. As a matter of fact, I heard from several people THAT night (not 3 days later) that Miranda was encountered by a "lady" who said something inappropriate to her and then pushed her; not the other way around I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't still be sitting at the same bar hours later if someone had just "assaulted" me there???

Miranda was in fact there as a non-paid act supporting her friend who has opened many shows for her recently. He's an up-and-coming star... who cares what kind of bar it was? There was still security. The fact remains that Miranda was there ON HER TIME OFF to support her friend. She didn't have to be there. And Miranda always treats her fans with the utmost respect. I've been a fan for a long time and will continue to be one, a lot for this reason. She has always gone above and beyond, even when she doesn't have to. She (and the people she surrounds herself with) will always have my respect, just as SHE does for US.

68. Let me guess Karen....................you're a bartender at Bootleggers and didn't get the tip you expected!!! LMAO

69. Exactly this isn’t about what kind of music you like or don’t like, or IF you like Miranda or not. That is all irrelevant! This is a huge injustice to Miranda.

This is the most pathetic claim to 15 mins of fame I have ever seen! With SEEN being the operative word there! I was at Bootleggers from 8:30 p.m. until closing time (both Sat and Sun), yes my entourage was the last to leave, we closed the place down each night.
We arrived long before Miranda, Blake or anyone from the Lambert organization ever entered the building. While there on the main floor we sat as a group the entire time.
Upon invitation we all entered the VIP section at the same time as a group, we are talking no less than 30-50 people total, with no less than 20 or so cameras in the mix.

The ONLY time Miranda was on the main floor was momentarily right out side the entrance to the area to the VIP section, as she introduced Blake to those entering the VIP, ( a bouncer was present) at no other time was she on the main floor (ever). She was either ONSTAGE or in the VIP section which had it’s own bar service area with about 4 bar stools. I might add that the ONLY other place bar stools were present were in the VIP section as there weren’t any on the main floor. The closest “chair” in the vicinity of the VIP section would have been at least 30 ft away.

By Texas standards the bar was relatively empty the entire night, there wasn’t any over crowding, there wasn’t any brawl, there weren’t any tipped over bar stools, there wasn’t any shoving, no broken pool sticks, no blows…SORRY TO DISAPPOINT! It was a night filled with good clean fun, Awesome Texas music, and friendship!

I do recall this gal, yes I recall what she looks like approaching our group while introductions were taking place and she asked Ran if she was indeed Miranda Lambert, to which Ran replied “Yes I am” and Miranda continued with what she was doing. NOTHING else happened at that point. I too recall that it was said that this gal
said something very inappropriate to Miranda and then shoved her.

Miranda is the most down to earth giving artist in the industry today. She’s sincere, well grounded and beyond humble. She’s give from the heart, and is very closely connected to her fanbase.
Which is rare. She knows who she is where she’s going and where she came from! Miranda was there to support a fellow artist both she and Blake were their on their own accord. It was in fact their TIME OFF! To which she is entitled. How dare the public “expect” them to drop what they are doing, that mentality is RUDE! This is purely a case of some serious sour grapes, green with envy, poor pitiful me crap, it’s beyond attention seeking BOGUS PURE BS!!!!!

70. I work in Miranda's home town...I was at the benefit concert early that day and went to the bar afterwards. Miranda and Blake Shelton were there but they were roped off...no one was allowed in there with them. I did not see the incident but shortly after they arrived they were in a real hurry to get out of there. Unfortunately any dealings I have ever had with Miranda, she has been a real Bitch. I would like to make a note that up and coming artist at this event Kasey Musgraves, 500 miles to memphis and Adam Hood were all really great to their fans.

71. The girl that was allegedly "pushed" probably worked for TMZ. And if that was the case, kudos to Miranda. I call BS on this whole thing. And no, Carrie Underwood would have never done this; she would have run to her mom sobbing if someone got close enough to touch that overpriced Barbie weave she's got in her head. Keep singing contradictory songs about slashing tires and Jesus and let grown-ups like Miranda Lambert sing about real life, Miss Underwood.

Posted at 8:47PM on Apr 23rd 2008 by leave miranda alone!!!!

72. WOW! This is really sad! I can'tbelieve people are even believing this. First off i have heard about 20 first hand acounts from her fans (it happened to be a whole weekend event which alot of her fans were there for) and all the stories are the same. Miranda was w/ Blake in a back sectio w/ some of the fan club and NOTHING like this ever happened. Personally i have met Miranda 4 times and she has ALWAYS been one of the most humble, down to earth, normal, nicest people i have ever met. I have spoken to her mom on many occasions, and she is also VERY nice and helpful. This was nothing more than a stunt by this girl to get her name out there and try and get some money. Keep up your great music and personality MIRANDA!! All of y'all that think otherwise , your missing out on a really nice, really great singer and performer!!

73. Wrong night roxy! You probably should have read the article before trying to be a stupid bitch.

74. I don't think she would do this, however, I have met her a couple of times, and it seems like she doesnt want to be involved with meet and greets. She doesnt seem happy to meet her fans. Kinda like she doesnt want to be there.

75. I really doubt this happened. I got to meet Miranda and actually spent dome time with her a bouple of years ago and she seemed to be one of the sweetest girls I've met in recent years. I can't tell you how she is after a couple of Colt 45's but I still don't think she would be that hateful. She actually seemed like a fish out of water as far as the other country music !celebrities go. She even sent me a CD to my home address!! I don't believe it. By the way, I hate country music with a passion!!!
