"Idol" to Archuleta -- No Prom for You!

The only way David Archuleta is going to his high school prom is in his mind.

"Idol's" strict rules about not letting the contestants out of their sight on the weekends applies to everyone. So David's prom -- which takes place this weekend in Murray, Utah -- is a definite no-no.

Earlier this month, Brooke White had to skip her sister's wedding because she was on "Idol" lockdown. "Til death do us part" isn't just for the bride and groom!

18. someone with a brain please answer ... if they break [SHOCK] the rules and attend these other IMPORTANT EVENTS, THAT HAPPEN ONLY ONCE, IN THEIR LIFETIME would Idol kick them off or would they just mess up the groups choregraphy of songs and dance and that's what the producers are worried about? seriously, would they be kicked out or is it one of those HIGHLY SUGGESTED RULES but not really a nail in coffin rule?

26. in my opinion NOBODY is of star quality this season!!...Daughtry is WAY more talented than Cook...and Arquleta is ok...NOT star power on any level!!...Siesha is better singer than the two boyz...but en masse tweenie voting will rule her out..oh well...some seasons r better than others.

OBVIOUSLY you've never listened to ALW's works. It's not opera. I suggest you check out the soundtrack from Cats or Starlight Express for starters. There is a variety of musical styles, especially in Starlight. Time to get out of your little rock and roll world and experience the wide variety of music out there.

28. The only one that could make it is David Cook he has star power and his voice is amazing! Its nice to have a rocker get so far again... There is no comparison to Cook and Daughtry 2 totally different sounds they both ROCK!
