Lindsay Drinks 'Cause Her Parents Stink

Sources tell TMZ the source of Lindsay Lohan's recent downslide is her parents.


We're told Lindsay has been humiliated by her dad Michael going on national TV saying he got shortchanged in his divorce case. He's on a campaign trashing Dina. As for Dina, Lindsay can't believe she's pimping out Ali on a reality show. We're told that is what led Lindsay to hit the bottle Saturday night in NYC.

Ironically, we're also told Lindsay has been taking sobriety seriously, requesting a sober companion on the set of her new film. People around her are telling her not to go to clubs but she's ignoring them -- but it's not because she wants to party. Lohan is really really tight with DJ Samantha Ronson, who works in clubs -- and Lindsay is there for Sam, not the scene.

Will Lindsay go back to rehab? No plans just yet. Will she downslide or conquer? Stay tuned.

34. I'm aware you said that you can't live without press coverage, but seriously, are you not tired of justifiably being written about in a constant negative way? If I were you (and I count my blessings I'm not) I'd be mortified. Have you NO shame whatsoever? You threw it all away for some magazine covers, pretty disgusting. Buy a clue Lohan.

35. Alcoholics tend to blame other people for their condition ~ now Lindsay has enablers blaming other people.

No one is responsible for an alcoholic's relapse but him-or herself. Go to a meeting Lindsay, call your sponsor.

DAD got short changed now you feel something. Bull shiz! I dig you like Sam but stay the hell out of clubs. If you want
to surpport her stay at home. You are supposed to be recovering! Well recover and get back to work. You are only 21
years old. Some day you will look back at this and say WTF! Yeah, youth does not last. Of all the girls you have the
most talent. Why don't you use it? Now pick yourself up and get back on your feet! You can do this. BTW, at least

42. Totally Seriouly, Last week I seen LoLo's Dad at the grocery store with his woman... His woman is 20-23 years, blond and looking like a money hungry gold digger. (has to be) He was on his blue tooth, talking all loud.. I don't think anyone noticed him.. I was going to take a pix but didn't really care that much. Oh and this is in the HAMPTONS. haa.. PLEASE people, stay very far away from here. We don't need this place turning into hollywood... No celebs please

43. So sick of celebrities behaving as if their life problems are so much worse.

Everyone has problems, many people have problems far worse than this. And, they don't have the money, opportunities, VIP lifestyle to soften the pain.

Who cares about these people anymore? They're all horrible and worse - boring.

44. Please, give me a break. Lindsey is responsible for her sobriety and nobody else. She's using them as an excuse because it isn't easy staying sober. If there's any reason she's fallen of the wagon maybe it's because her career is non-existant.
