Lindsay Drinks 'Cause Her Parents Stink

46. Looks like she didn't take rehab seriously at all (it makes me want to believe all those stories of her getting caught having sex & drinking/taking drugs while she was locked away). 2 of the primary tenents of rehab are to take responsibility for your own actions, and to change your behaviors regarding leading to drinking. It's incredibly arrogant & self centered of her to still try to blame everyone but herself ("my parents embarrass me, so I drink; my hair is blond today so I drink; there's air outside so I drink"). This is totally pathetic; no one made her drink, she made a conscious decision to do so. AND, she's still hanging out at parties & bars, regardless of her lame "I'm there for my lesbian lover" excuse. She needs to get away from the people & places she associates with drinking.

She may be in her 20's, but she's still acting like a petulant little brat. The bottom line is, she's an alcoholic. & always will be. She needs to accept responsibility for her own actions and stop going to bars & parties. Until she does so seriously, she'll continue to be a drunk.

51. Lindsay Lohan has gotten no help from the parents, she never had parents, not Mike,
not Dina, no one. Lindsay is responsible for her own actions as she is an adult be it an
one who cannot make good decisions by herself or take good suggestions when it
rarely comes. If she is beyond recovery is something we the reader don't know, but one
thing is for sure, she seems to be back to the state where she was when people where
telling her to go to rehab last year, so far it appears that none of the three stints in
rehab has worked thus far. The worst part is Ali wants to follow in her sisters footsteps
according to Dina herself and she is giving her a reality show on E!.

54. Anyone who has been to AA knows that :
You change your friends.
You don't hang out in bars.
You take responsibility and not blame people , places or things on your alcoholism.
Sobriety comes FIRST!!!!
Fake it till you make it!!!
One day at a time!!!!!
Alcoholism is a disease that can be treated (not drinking) not cured.....EVER!!!!!!
Learn to live life on life's terms!!!!!

She needs to stop blaming everyone and everything for her actions. She has not hit bottom yet and is unable to look in a mirror and like what she sees. She needs to get away and decide what she wants.

Any thoughts on this anyone?

My aunt was in the Betty Ford clinic for a severe alcohol problem and one of the first things that that they teach you when you are recovering is to not go near anybody or anything that make you want to drink and that includes talking to them on the phone or the internet. When she went to the movies, my aunt used to sneak a bottle of Bud Light in by hiding it in her purse. Lindsey needs to learn that she has a problem and she needs to do whatever it takes to correct it.

She needs to stop hanging around Samantha Ronson - that girl is the devil and the worse influence anyone could have.

It will only be a matter of time and Lindsay will take the fall again. She needs to take accountability and responsibility for her life. She needs to stay out of the nightclubs and the drugged up scene. She is looking old and haggard - no one can save her but yourself!

The first step is to drop Samantha - she is no good and a snake in the grass who will take you down the wrong path!

59. Sorry can't blame the parents now. They might be idiots, but she's had more then enough chances to stop going out and drinking. I know she wants to be with her "friend" but she needs to GROW UP. If she wants to have a life and career she needs to stay away from the clubs and drinking. Simple as that. It's her fault.
