Celebrity Justice
Celebs Sign Up as Snipers

Wesley Snipes got some of his famous buddies to write letters to the judge who is sentencing him for tax fraud, asking for mercy.
Read the docs
Noted pothead Woody Harrelson wrote about racism. Going well off-track, Woody recounted how he was shooting "Wildcats" and that he and Goldie Hawn were the only Caucasians on the production team. Harrelson said a few of the folks were fans of Louis Farrakhan. Woody wrote, "It was the first time I experienced racism toward me."

Denzel Washington says that Wes is like "a tree -- a mighty oak." What the hell does he mean by that, and how's it gonna keep Wesley out of the Big House?

Then there's Judge Greg Mathis, who says: "Unfortunately, it was his honest nature that forced him into these legalities" and "I can say from my personal experience as a Judge that people are always trying to manipulate and defraud people with a high profile status."

And Judge Joe Brown, who says Wesley is "one of those rare individuals possessed of an extremely developed social conscience."

Snipes faces three years in prison. Sentencing is set for tomorrow. Good luck, dude.

31. My girlfriend and I met Wesley Snipes some years ago, and he was very polite and nice.
I don't tolerate people who aren't polite and nice, celebrity or not.
I thought that he was into eastern spiritual thinking and a peaceful way of life, I wonder how he got into this mess.

NOTE to Wesley Snipes:
If you're reading the comments on this website, which you probably are (or your people are):
You have to pay the IRS, but it's even more important to pay for competent and trustworthy professionals.
Do background checks on their credentials and check referrals.
Maybe even hire detectives to see if their trustworthy, especially for a person of means, it's important.

It's highly unlikely that Wesley Snipes does his own taxes.
His accountant (and perhaps his tax attorneys) get together to figure out tax loop holes and complete his taxes (if he filed any, which I hope he did, if he didn't, I wonder why not?).

Anyway, good luck Wesley.
Hope life gives you peace and success in the future.

35. Yes, judge, he has such a social conscience that he's being sentenced for tax fraud. Civil responsibility includes paying your fair share of taxes like everyone else in society does, and taxes go to help everyone. If you really DO have a social conscience, organize in a transparent and public way, and then work hard publicly to keep taxation levels reasonable and non-inflating.

36. Judge Mathis has it ass-backwards.
It was Snipe's 'honest nature' that caused him to commit fraud?!? Lolz.
What a homey. To think I liked his judgement.

41. These letters are ridiculous and so out of touch with the average American. I make way less the 50k a year and i have to pay what gives these hot shots the right to think they do not have to? If he was conned as some of the letters suggest and he would have made restitution i would be fine with that. But i seen the interviews he gave were he just flat out said he felt he did not have to pay taxes and was not going to pay them period. Well then shut up and do the time.
