Jason Castro: All But a "Memory"?

Jason Castro"American Idol" message boards are buzzing that tonight's "Idol" castoff will be Jason Castro -- and it's allegedly Ryan Seacrest who leaked it!

An email exchange posted on an "Idol" fan site points the finger at Ryan -- saying he blabbed that it's Castro that's getting the boot.

Only problem ... Ryan doesn't even know yet himself!

While Ryan has said in the past that he finds out who gets sent packing the morning of the show, we're told the only two people who know the big name at this point in the day are the two executive producers -- Nigel Lythgoe and Cecile Frot-Coutaz.

In fact, Nigel told us exclusively who will go home tonight -- the person with the least number of votes.

80. FLBiker, I've watched a few seasons. Not all. The best part is the try-outs when all these people who think they can sing get to make fools of themselves. After that it's usually a case of you find someone you like and they don't make the final group in Hollywood. Then you pick somebody else and they don't make the top 24. So you pick the best of that lot and watch your favorite get shot down again. And in the last 12 shows, they pick really stupid music types for people to try and pick a half decent song. And your favorite gets voted off because the vast majority of the people who watch and vote, couldn't tell a good singer from a bad if they had signs on them and can't recognize real stage presence. Sanjaya may have been the most famous of those but he wasn't really the worst. People vote for all the wrong reasons if this truly was a contest to pick the next American pop star. But then, note how well it's worked for the people who won.

81. The show is called AMERICAN idol. So those "tweens" have has much right to vote has adults do. Besides they buy the majority of music any way. It also depends on your taste in music. I happen to like Jason but I do not like David Cook at all. But I know a lot of other people do. If you are not happy with the results vote more for the person you would like to win instead of complaining about it.

82. Shocked is the word! Carly far surpassed Jason, and Aeysha way outshined Brooke. What is it with that pouty mouth of Brooke's anyway, and forgetting her lyrics, inexcusable. Come on folks, this is not a popularity contest.....it's to select the best and most talented singer, even though he or she may not have the best personality. Let's face it, David Cook and David Archuleta are the best singers by far....I put my money on Archuleta....he could sing the phonebook and it would sound great. I just wonder what the American public really relate to when they vote......whiny, pouty Brooke? Stupid acting Jason with those hideous dreadlocks? I'm hoping it will get down to the two Davids.......assuming that Jason, Brooke and Aeysha will be eliminated next and in that order.

85. I'm 66 years old and voting for Jason. He is the one that I would watch in concert....or in a TV performance. His face is phenomenal. Sayesha, Brooke, David Cook, Carly are boring..........good singers, but I wouldn't watch them in a performance. I would only tune in to Jason and David Archuleta. Jason has a similar face to Ryan Gosling, the actor, who is really sensational.

86. I think Jason has a very unique voice, sultry, pleasant and smooth, Sade had a similar style. The Idol music categories are so outdated, this is 2008, why can't they choose NEW music? I enjoy Jason and David Cook, they are excellent!

87. Jason was a major train wreck--it is almost like a joke that Jason is still on this show. Having Jason still on AI shows that AI is now has nothing to do with vocal talent but is only about blocks of fan base voting. Sad. And Brooke White had one good performance--Let it Be--but she is still on AI. Brooke blocked the sun, murdered Jolene, lost all her Friends, is no Hero and injured Sır Andrew.....yet she collects the pity votes. Bring back Michael Johns and Kristy Lee Cook--even when they had a bad performance they were better than Brooke and Jason and what great eye candy Michael and Kristy Lee were.
