Little (Brooke) White Lies

After last night's disastrous, forgetful performance, Brooke White said the words had never gotten away from her on "Idol" before ... oh really? Because it felt like Groundhog Day to us.

Nothing like fibbing for a little sympathy to get a few extra, much needed votes, right?

46. Finally someone calls it as it is. Brooke is so phony..I am so sick of people saying that she keeps it real and she's genuine...SHE'S NOT!!!! Get rid of the pout- it's so annoying and immature.
Here's some advice for Brooke- when the judges are talking to you: Shut up and listen, don't talk over their voices.

Bye Bye Brooke.....you can't forget the lyrics on a live show and stop the entire show...who do you think you are?
Finally Paula said something smart.....I ususally don't understand Paula's comments- they don't make sense.

48. I am NOT a fan of Brooke White...but! She did not forget the lyrics the first time. She started playing the piano in the wrong key. As a musician, it was easy to tell. She still sucked last night.

49. No matter what the reason is for her stopping and starting over again it isnt right...she is trying to show that she has what it takes to be a professional....obviously she doesnt have what it takes....i have worked in the music business for 22 years and if any of my bands or singers would stop and then start over again it would ruin the vibe of the show .... everyone makes mistakes..whether it is being off key or forgetting the lyrics , the bottom line is that both of these times with here on A I were HER fault....i liked her the first few weeks but she has gotten VERY annoying and needs to go....she talks down to and over the judges and she always has to have the last say in everything....she is the MOST ANNOYING contestant on A I in a very long time....
Bye Bye Brooke .... you had your 15 minutes and it is time to go home

50. I think Brooke sealed her fate last night. It's too late in the competition to be blanking out on lyrics. Though she doesn't have the talent to ever propel herself to #1 status, she's still very talented and will do well after this. Jason Castro? I'm a fan...and he was bad last night. Archuleta? I'm a fan....and he was boring last night. They all have their talents...but singing Webber isn't it.

I'm not a David Cook fan....but he did a nice job last night, and it was something totally different coming from him. WTG.

PS I still think Chikezie should release "She's A Woman" as a single!

52. TMZ needs to issue a retraction and apologize to Brooke. She was not lying. The previous time she started her song over was when she started on the wrong note, and as noted by all three of the judges that time she was smart to start over. This time she forgot the words, so her comment about not having done that before was correct.

53. TMZ, you apparently don't watch the show. The last do-over was because she started in the wrong key, not because she lost the lyric. You're correct that she has had two "false starts," but to suggest that she was Lying is totally incorrect sensationalism on your part.

54. I love Brooke. She is the sweetest person ever. I think she has true talent but is just too nervous at this stage of the game. Singing a brand new song that nobody ever has sung on stage before, is very difficult. She was alot better in the beginning because the pressure was not so hard. She is just too delicate and shy to handle that pressure. She can sing, but she needs certain material to show off her talent. I am with her 100% no matter what happens. I wish her the best in her future career and I think people should just shut-up and leave her alone. She has really tried hard, but her best has not been good enough against the talent on the show. The two Davids will make it to the end.
I will miss Brooke though, I just think she is special.

55. Do you guys even watch the show you comment on? Another story you got completely wrong.

56. This whole post is ridiculous. Brooke did NOT LIE. She started off that first song wrong and corrected herself. The 2nd time, she actually went blank on the lyrics. TMZ, shame on you for trying to make this girl look bad.

And the worse thing is, you have many folks in here thinking she is a liar and she's not.

Posted at 11:22AM on Apr 23rd 2008 by Brooke is not a liar

57. The first time she was off key, she didnt forget her lyrics. You stupid asses! Why dont you try watching the show before you "try" to come up with some lame attempt at a story. You people are such losers and your all the same.

58. Thank you TMZ!!! I couldn't believe that she tried to pull that lie off. She totally blew it with " Every Breath you Take". I don't care if she forgot the lyrics, or was off key....none off the other contestants have pulled that nonsense. Look at David A. when he forgot the lyrics. He was a total trooper and made it through. Why does Brooke White get to have do overs? I really don't think it's fair to the other people on the show.

59. it's a shame because i did like her, but after seeing her last night i started to see how fake everyone was saying she is.
