As far as wearing a bullet proof vest, of course it should be legal. Self-defense is an inalienable right. Why would wearing protection be illegal? With all the cops that go around murdering people ( combined with the assorted thugs you are likely to encounter in that area) it's a smart choice.

26. I live in Newark and the comment "You guys must not know of Newark. It is a dangerous place for everyone. Most people that live in newark are thugs. You do not dare to go there after dark." It is not as dangerous as you make it seem there are nice areas in Newark and where I live I do feel pretty safe..and most people are not thugs idk what you saw but there are alot of people in Newark that are trying to better themselves...it is unfortunate that you hear that bad things that go on in the city...but in NY you hear the same stories and I am pretty sure that it doesn't stop you from going into the city at night.
