47. I totally agree with #33 Dottie. Dr. Phil is a great guy who has helped countless people and the media has put such a poor spin on everything. By the way, anyone that watches the show knows hes been using polygraph regularly since way before that stupid reality show came out. I think too many people here can't handle his kind of straightforward truth. And if you think about it - mostly what he speaks is just common sense from a different point of view. He's a very intelligent man who happens to hold a Ph.D by the way.

52. I thought it was a sad but good show. He was there to bring attention as to why the child was being hyper sexual and was able to control the guest. He is a good man that HAS to keep up the ratings on his show. Just like TMZ and all other shows do. This is bringing awareness to the people about different subjects.

58. Um, he has used a lie detector test before, actually quite often. Also, I know that celebrity life is sooooo important and those who (uh hem) report it are invaluable, but Dr. Phil also has an important role of brining light to situations that most people don't want to talk about. Unfortunately things like this happen in families more often than we would like to admit. His show, as dramatic and over the top you may think it is, actuall makes people look out for this behavior and maybe face that it is a reality in their life. Someone sitting on a couch just giving a lecture wouldn't make people do that.

60. Why that blad headed blowhard still has fans is a mystery. He is certainly no doctor and his advice is quick fix phoney baloney. I got sick of his "how's it working for you"? years ago. Once again the american public has another one of Oprah Winfrey's finds shoved down their throats. I for one do not watch her or any of her show biz finds. I used to think she was somewhat smart but have discovered that all of these brilliant people she backs are simply her yes people. As for the so called good Dr. Phil, he has become worse than Jerry Springer. He preaches about his family and how wonderful they are...his wife sits in on every show looking like something from the "Stepford" wives, nodding in agreement to his every word. He puts his son on to give advice to young people and moralize to them, yet he marries a "Hugh Hefner" porno triplet. Sorry but I find the so called doctor, which by the way he is not!!! completely repugnant. By the way to his fan Dottie, you do recall he was sued over his weight loss supplements and foods? He seeks more and more adulation by putting on shows that belittle and demean people. Grow up and find a real doctor Dottie and all other "Dr. Phil" believers. He is as phoney as his mentor Oprah.
