47. Anyone else remember that he practically said his parents asked to be murdered because of the business they were in (running a bar)??? He was into (maybe still is) some kind of religion that believed it was so terrible to serve alcohol and run a bar. I never liked him after he made those comments.

50. NO, I don't remember him almost saying his parents deserved to be murdered! I do remember that he was devastated as was his sister, saying they didn't deserve to die, that they would have given anyone the shirt off their backs. He was and is a practicing Buddist. He's been married to his wife since 1974 and they have 2 sons.

59. He's the only celeb I've met in real life. That was over 20 years ago (fall of '85) when I was just a star struck 18 year old.

I was the only "kid" at a local meet & greet for him. Not sure why he was in Kansas. Something about supporting the states new mandatory seat belt law, I think. I was invited last minute by my brother who was covering the event for the local paper.

Once all the official's had their face time with him, they all mingled amongst themselves, leaving the celebrity sitting alone, looking quite bored.

With all the courage this farm town girl could muster, I took the seat next to him and we actually chatted for a good long time. How cool was that!

This was long before the days of digital cameras and it took me a week before I had the pictures to prove the story to my friends at school!!!

I still have a framed b&w press photo of the two of us.
