"Idol" Sticks It to Fan

"American Idol" has ruined something else besides the hopes and dreams of thousands -- a fan's dress!
Exclusive
A 17-year-old "Idol" lover is ticked off because a sticker they made her wear at an April 22 show-taping ruined her sequin dress. Maybe Ryan can loan her one!

When the fan realized Andrew Lloyd Webber was in the studio, she tried taking the sticker off so he could sign it, but the glue from the sticker wouldn't come off like a prom dress.

The girl doesn't want to sue "Idol" -- she just wants her soiled dress (which was a gift for her sweet 16) fixed. She's tried emailing "Idol" but only got an automated response. We tried calling for her (cause we're nice like that) but we haven't heard back. Where's a TMZ mole when you need 'em?!

47. Bill, laughed out loud at the Goo Gone comment! Thanks for having a sense of humor in this obviously over-dramatized story!

49. The dress was purchased for her sweet 16, the girl is 17, so what's she complaining about a cheap glued on sequin dress that's over a year old?????

50. Uh, ready made sequin dresses like that aren't that expensive maybe $99.00 and most likely less!
SECONDLY, its not a true sequin dress at all...its a polyester blended imprinted sequin dress...

Secondly, you can REFUSE to wear the sticker and not go in...Ohhh and the coordinator DOES NOT make you
wear it on your shirt, it is only mandated to wear it in a visible spot. Many people wear them low on their shirts (near the hem).

So...17 year old girl...go buy a new one at Wal-Mart and whine about some thing more important...like GAS PRICES!!!

52. Didn't Larry David get his suede jacket ruined by one of these damn stickers on an episode of Curb Your Ethusiasm? By the way, I didn't see a picture of the girl who owns the dress but FIRST!

54. Britney, meet Karl:

"They turned me loose from the nervous hospital. 'Said I was well. I got hired on by a Mr. Bill Cox fixing lawnmowers and whatnot. That grass out there in the yard has grown up quite a bit. I reckon I might cut it for you."

55. That is not sequins! It's cheap polyester with plastic crap glued on to it. I've had a similar halloween costume that cost probably $15 dollars! Half of those dots that she's calling sequins probably would have come off after the first wash.

56. I think the glue is probably very adhesive type -look at the right corner of the pic .Is this the actual glue prints after she removed the sticker?
Is so , it is not likely this dress to be fixed.
Also who would think that a sticker would damage the dress so badly ?
Common ……..we all got stickers for some events..
It doesn't matter if her dress was cheap or not.

57. 17 years old and dressed like a whore? She should get used to the loss, because she obviously has already lost her innocence.

58. The fabric is microdot, not sequin.

But it doesn't matter what the fabric is, they used an adhesive that was not fabric safe to stick their stickers to fabric , and that's all that really matters.

Maybe they should use a better adhesive, or go bigtime and use the bracelets instead of this cheap crap.

Replace the dress, won't cost much, and then replace the stickers with with something that is fabric friendly if they want to stick them on fabric, pretty much a no-brainer imo.
