Custody Report Says Brit has "Issues"

Look people, it's one thing to like Britney, to wish her the best, and to want to show support for her. It's something quite different to deliberately ignore reality.

The fact is that Britney has mental issues that are serious enough to have warranted her being put under a conservatorship. If she accepts that she has these problems and learns to manage them via appropriate medication and life style changes, she can get back to a semblance of a normal life.

Sadly, Britney has not exercised much good judgment about herself in the past, and therefore, I'm concerned that once the conservatorship ends and she isn't being managed by her father and others, she could feel well and stop taking her meds, which would cause her to crash and burn all over again, as KC Rosie has so aptly described, above.

I also agree with DIANE T (the original one) that Britney is unlikely to get anything more than a continuation of monitored custody for the time being. She has not yet demonstrated that she can take care of herself, let alone her little ones.

I hope that she will go to court on May 5, although sadly, I'm not going to bet on it.

Britney was diagnosed with being bipolar. She is only now receiving treatment for that "issue". Britney was for months drugged without her knowledge by someone she thought she could trust. Long before these "issues" , Britney caught her husband with a prostitute shortly after she gave birth to his 2nd child. She has been taken advantage of by so many it is unreal. But things are much better for her now. Yes, she is quite capable of mothering her children and having joint custody with Kevin. She deserves a break. Best wishes to her and I hope her attorneys prove she is ready to regain her life and improve it. We all have "issues" .

Kayla how do you know that Britney's husband was caught with a prostitute shortly after she gave birth to her second child? Explain to us exactlly how Britney is so capable of "mothering" her children when the courts haven't give her custody of them at this point in time? Where is all of this information coming from? Where is your proof? We're waiting to hear your answer!

Think about this, Kayla: Britney was put under the control of a conservatorship because she has been judged to be incapable of providing for her own basic survival needs. So how could she possibly be capable of caring for her children if she can't even take care of herself?

Some day, the conservatorship will come to an end. It will make sense at that time to consider the possibility of Britney having unsupervised custody of her kids. But until she is deemed to be mentally fit enough to live her own life without being monitored by her own babysitters, she is in no position to take full parental responsibility.

Give her some time and she'll lose it again. I wouldn't want the damage done to those children hanging over my head.

Why does everyone feel so sorry for this junkie anyway. An average citizen would have been finished long ago. Please

Why pick on poor Britney?? She has long lost that girl next door look or you might call it the sweet young lady look. She is a divorced mother of two. The singing and dancing gig is also long behind her and she is seeking work doing commercials whick is good. The things that brought her fame and fortune have faded with age but she is not sitting around living off her income from her previous career. She is working like the rest of us and she may do some screwed up things but we all have from time to time. She may or may not have mental issues I cannot say because I am not a medical doctor who has spent time with her as a professional.
