Miley -- Hate When My Top Goes Missing!

76. To "they call me the truth" (currently msg #10): The good Christian parents of a good Christian girl would not let her pose like that. Period. Miley's parents and handlers knew the kinds of photos that Annie Liebowitz takes and they were well aware of what kind of magazine Vanity Fair is before they gave permission for this photo shoot. And they stood there and watched the whole thing as it unfolded.

Miley and her parents didn't raise a stink at the time of the shoot when they were completely aware that the racy photos were being taken. They didn't demand that those photos be destroyed. They didn't go to their lawyers to try to block publication of that magazine issue or of the photos.

Only now when controversy is being generated and Miley's career is being jeopardized are they taking a negative stance towards the photo shoot.

You might like to pass all the blame for this off on "Liberals", but that's a lame excuse that won't fly. A true Conservative does not try to pass off blame or responsibility on others. A true Conservative stands up and accepts total responsibility for his or her actions and choices. Therefore, Miley and her family have to take the Conservative position of accepting the blame and the responsibility for allowing this photo shoot to take place. Also, the family has to take the Christian position of not bearing false witness, and they need to come forward and openly tell the truth about their complicity in this affair.

85. Those of us who are offended by the pictures are not prudes or closet perverts. Miley Cyrus is a 15 year old kid. There is no reason in the world for photos like hers. What is this crap of 13 going on 21? It is no wonder Britney has had so much trouble. Pimped out as a kid by a mother desperate for success. Now it is Miss Cyrus. You would think that at least her father would think differently about his daughters career and make much better choices but obviously not. I guess there is no room in the entertainment world for a 15 year old kid just dressing and looking like 15. Instead they have to have the tightest, tiniest and most provocative outfits....no this isn't jealousy. As the grandmother of an 8 year old who loves "Hannah Montana", I will not spend another cent on anything that has to do with Miley Cyrus. Yes, she should be ashamed. And her parents should definately be ashamed.

86. I'm sorry Ms Cyrus can't have it both ways: she can't be a squeaky-clean teen idol and sultry star. It's pretty hard to buy that she / her parents didn't know what was happening since her rep's were on set, they saw the photos at the shoot and later, and her career has been so controlled until now, you have to ask how this action was not deliberate? I can't buy that Vanity Fair and Leibovitz pulled something over the star or her parents - because the family has final sign on the photos: they have to sign off on them. At least she now has something to write about in her autobiography.

But in the end - who cares? I look forward to seeing her in VF.

i feel kind of sorry for her i mean SHE IS UNDER A MICROSCOPE and everybody watching everything she does all the time
imean if she does 1 lil thing the whole world goes crazy

90. dont bite the mailman; It wasn't just Boston fans that knew about this. In fact, most Boston fans were surprised too but anyone who follows baseball gossip knew. Google "On the DL" if you want to find out the between the sheets hijinks of MLB. Also the drinking and drugging. Most players are decent guys but the ones like Clemens make them all look bad. I think the same is true for other professional sports. You hear about a few players who get arrested again and again while most are basic law-abiding citizens.

The pictures of Miley Cyrus aren't that bad. EXCEPT that she is only 15. They remind me of the Brooke Shields Calvin Klein jeans campaign. For those of you too young to remember that featured press and TV ads showing the underage Brooke Shields stretched out on her stomach, looking over her shoulder at the camera and in a sultry voice saying "Nothing comes between me and my Calvins." While the ad said nothing risque, the implications were obvious. Miley's parents are the ones who should be ashamed. And I'm sorry, she's much too old to lay on her father's lap. Altogether now "EWWWWWW!!!!"
