Gossip & Rumors
Miley -- Miles from Reality on VF Shoot

Miley Cyrus might be boo-hooing about this Vanity Fair shoot, but we're told that her parents were with her "the entire time" and that they knew everything that was going on. So any suggestion that Annie Leibovitz tricked Miley into taking racy shots are absurd: "There was no subterfuge," we're told.
Miley Cyrus, Annie Leibovitz
Well-placed sources at Vanity Fair say that the mag is "happy for all the press -- we're selling magazines, after all," and when it comes to Miley's suggestion that the legendary Leibovitz got her to take a topless shot, "Are you going to believe Annie Leibovitz or Miley Cyrus?"

For her part, Leibovitz said in a statement, "I'm sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted."

16. Everyone's to blame. Her parent's are responsible because they were there and they allowed this to happen. Miley who blurts that she loves Jesus and she is such a good girl, should have prayed before taking her clothes off and the photog should never have asked a CHILD to remove her clothing for a picture.

17. Totally ridiculous that her parents even allowed this to happen. They have been cashing in on (yeah- since Billy couldn't make it on his own) their daughter for a little over 2 years now.

And has anyone else noticed that Miley looks alot like Sarah Jessica Parker? That is an entirely different subject.

TMZ, why don't you look into this... kids who have horse faces that look alot like other celebrities who have horse faces.

18. Dumb girl, Dumber parents

I guess we should no longer be surprised when some young celebrity (and her parents) make extremely poor choices when anyone with half a brain knows it will come back to bit them in the ass!

19. "Andy" Liebovitz = eeeewww
she's a photog - shouldn't she know how to present herself in the best possible light? Instead she walks around looking like a Bag Lady - no, strike that, that would give bag ladies a bad name

20. Daddy's little show pony.

21. this is an joke. The photographer has an big rep that she is not going to ruin by taking photos of Miley in wrong way.
Miley just needs attention. This is why she said anything at all... Bravo Vanity Fair for selling more magazine without trying.

22. Annie is not a liar. She's a no BS type. She had both parents there. She is very clear, when photographing her subjects, what she wants. You can say no. Queen Elizabeth did. Others have. When Disney say the pics, the diaper contents hit the fan ! Now the trashing of Annie begins. She is a professional and experienced photographer of celebs, the best, as far as I know. And I only know what my daughter tells me. She is a purveyor of make-up and hair products to the stars and the movie industry. Also, I have followed her career. She is a very nice woman, and fair, from what I hear. Poor Mylie, she should have had a Disney rep there.

23. Annie Leibowitz and Vanity Fair should be proud of their child pornography.

I hope VF enjoys all of their extra issue sales - even if they are to perverts.

Who on Earth takes pictures of a 15-year-old CHILD topless?

24. Considering all of the other slutty pictures of her that have come to light lately, she really has no credibility. She needs to shut up and go away until she matures. She is shaming her family and an embarrassment.

25. This is how it starts.. . . tough to turn the train around once the parents stand-by and let "artistic" photos be taken. Why do the parents feel the need to sexualize a 15 year old? Maybe the Texas law enforcement officers need to raid the Cyrus house and seperate the child from the parents?

26. Annie Liebowitz is known for this. She is the Madonna of Photography, always trying to make a controversial photo so her name gets in the media. But when I see the cleavage -displaying low -cut backless dress Miley was wearing while singing with her Dad at the CMT awards, and the many other way-too-old outfits she has worn to events, obviously the parents are ok with Miley dressing like a Lolita.

27. She and her handlers/parents need to make up their minds...either she can play the
virgin or the tart. The previous comments are right....it didn't work for Brittney either.

28. Both her parents were there and the photos were shot with a digital camera so everyone was able to see the shots taken. And these are Mileys words in the magazine "I think it's really artsy," she told the magazine at the time. "It wasn't in a skanky way. Annie took, like, a beautiful shot, and I thought that was really cool. That's what she wanted me to do, and you can't say no to Annie."
Disney did not like it so now she is acting all surprised.

29. Here's a better question: Is Annie Leibovitz the only fricken photographer in the world? Anytime anyone someone famous needs there picture taken it's her they call. Nothing against her really, but it's like, photography. Is she that far above every other photog it's not even close? I mean there are 2 billion people in Asia with cameras and not one of them can touch a flame to her.

30. she is old enough to know that a full bare back with nothing but a sheet is going to appear "naked"

she does NOT have a valid excuse to whine. If she wasn't comfortable she shouldn't have taken the pictures.
