Funny thing is, when you go to a church and are a member for 20 YEARS, that church IS your basis of beliefs, values, judgments, and experience. Wow Obama, you must think we are really stupid. Even Oprah left the church years ago after becoming uncomfortable with Wright's doctrines. what took so long for you to bet the memo, Obama?

and Why didn't you leave the church a year ago after reports were beginning to surface about your pastor?

Well let me tell you, if I had been going to a church for 20 years and heard the preacher even mention something slightly racist or say "God d*mn" at the puplit.. I WOULD BE OUT IN A FLASH AND GET MY KIDS BAPTIZED BY A REAL MAN OF GOD. Id probably even renew my vows, as well. and i would no longer want to have any ties to that community.

Wright is a closeted Malcolm X. And I fear Barack is not far behind him. I will not even dignify Wright with the title of reverend. He is the antithesis of Christian doctrine and neglects to appreciate all the goodness of our country and the steps we have taken towards unifying the people.

93. We all need to close our eyes and focus on the issues. We badly need someone in office that can clean up this mess that we call America. The economy is in the toilet, environment is a big vat of cancerous ball of manure and children across this country are getting dumber than a bag of rocks and will kill for fun. The working person is fast approaching tent city, because they can no longer afford their mortgage. Jobs are being outsourced and we need a second language just to get technical advice for our computer or to order a burger. Yet, here we bicker about nonsensical stuff. I don't care what party wins, if he is old, if he is a black man or she a white woman, all I care about is who is going to get us out of this mess and put America back on track and I advise everyone to do the same. So, close your eyes and vote for the candidate that comes closer to giving us back America the beautiful, where English is the language to speak if you want an education, employment and driver’s license. I am glad TMZ got us all talking about politics.

I am white and I'm sorry I disagree. Obama was raised by his white side of his family and never knew the black side. In this world he knew he would be judged by being a black man and I think he went to Rev Wright to learn more about his hertiage. I will be voting for Obama.

I really don’t want to get into a pissing match with Sean Hannity and others of his ilk, as I don’t think that they are worth the time.

I do, however, take an interest in Sean Hannity’s relationship with Hal Turner, an internet radio host who is very popular among members of stormfront and other neo nazi white ride organizations.

In this video Sean denies any involvement with Turner. It is well known that Hannity allowed Turner to regularly call his show, so much so that ‘Hal from North Bergen’ became a regular feature. Hannity is said to have outsourced race baiting to Turner. Turner later established his own internet radio station. In 2006 Turner pondered what Georgian Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney would look like “hanging at the end of the rope”, and one of his shows was on the theme “Should Cynthia McKinney be lynched before her democratic primary”. This was at a time when Hannity was going after Cynthia McKinney fairly hard.

Anther interesting fact is that Turner took offence to an article by Greg Palast posted on McKinney’s site calling some people ‘Crackercrats’. Fox News picked up on the story soon after Hal Turner did.

The most interesting part of this story is that Hal Turner is also on the FBI payroll as an informant. This information was revealed after an internet hacker secured access to Turner’s emails, one of which was to his FBI handler. The email read “my fierce rhetoric has served to flush out a possible crazy.”

In the same emails Turner alleges that he knows US marines that serve as guards within the White House, a startling revelation.

Although Hannity denies being friendly with Turner, Hal seems to have other ideas

I was quite disappointed when Sean Hannity at first tried to say he didn’t know me and then went on to say that I ran some senate campaign in New Jersey. In fact, Sean Hannity does know me and we were quite friendly a number of years ago.

When Hannity took over Bob Grant’s spot on 77 WABC in New York City, I was a well-known, regular and welcome caller to his show. Through those calls, Sean and I got to know each other a bit and at some point, I can’t remember exactly when, Sean gave me the secret “Guest call-in number” at WABC so that my calls could always get on the air.

It is entirely possible that Sean may be a little bit pissed off that Turner has been talking to the FBI, possibly about him. I should point out that Turner has, to my knowledge, been on Fox at least twice and never on any other network. Although Geraldo did give him a grilling last time, they still give him a platform.

I once tried to get a hold of some tapes from Hannity’s show when Turner was a caller, I think I’ll try again.

99. 10. I'm glad that Obama is making is clear that he does not ascribe to the views of Wright. As intelligent Americans, I'm sure we can clearly see that the reverand speaks for himself, not Obama. I remain as I always have been - a staunch supporter and registered voter for Barack Obama.

As an intelligent American, I say that you need to reevaluate your opinion. i read the churches website 2 YEARS ago and it clearly stated in it's mission statement that it "believed it is in God's will that the black people finally are at the top of the ladder in order for white people to know what it is like to be at the bottom of the social ladder." Assuming that if white people are at the bottom then they will know what it is like to be a servant, which is the most valued virtue. and in this white people would find the real Christ. because everyone knows that we whities don't know pain or don't experience enough to be spiritually as deep as black people. of course, since then the mission statement has changed.

then again, i may just be thinking too much with my right brain considering im white.... which is one of Wright's beliefs :)

Obama's a hypocrite. He sat in that man's church for 20 years and claims to not know he had these views. C'mon, Barack, we're not as dumb as you think we are. Obama is only distancing himself now because he's losing in the polls, lost the last primary and is scrambling to keep his campaign afloat. But politics aside, why would anybody stay in a church for over 20 years with a man with such outrageous views unless they didn't agree with him?
