"DWTS" -- Deaf and Numb

Cristian de la Fuente thinks the ruptured tendon in his left arm is comparable to the fact that Marlee Matlin is deaf.


He told Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris that if he were voted on to the next round, he would power through his injury, saying, "Weeks ago, a deaf woman took the chance of dancing. I can dance."

If only he were mute.

16. In fairness, when you watched the show....it didn't seem like he was comparing his situation to Marlee Matlin at all. He was asked if he was if he was comfortable taking the risk of continuing and he basically said he had no excuses to quit because of an arm injury when she overcame so much more to dance on the show, He was starting to kind of elaborate on that comment when he was cut off by the hosts...so give the guy a break....I think he was really uncomfortable with the whole situation.

17. it shows that are a bit slow to understand the Americans, Cristian referia to be that if a deaf person can dance with such disabilities, it is of the much smaller and is a very capable person to continue in competition and get to win.

21. It was obvious what he meant by that comment. I doubt those crying "idiot" even watch the show.

I think the bigger story here is TMZ is obviously annoyed that they broke a false story (shooting him from the hospital) only to find out he was dressed and on the set and continuing with his stint on the show. Super spywork TMZ flunkies. Super.
