Billy Bob's Son Alleged Sex Crime Victim

Willie ThortonLaw enforcement sources tell TMZ Billy Bob Thornton's son is at the center of a criminal investigation -- the alleged victim of "unlawful sex."

Here's what we know. Willie Thornton, age 14, was dating a 22-year-old woman. Her ex-boyfriend apparently became jealous. Sources say the ex called the LAPD, informing them his former GF was having sex with a minor.

Law enforcement sources tell us there is an "active investigation" into the crime of "unlawful sex" -- translated, an adult having sex with someone under 18. We're told Willie is cooperating with the sex crimes unit. And, we're told, cops have also interviewed Billy Bob.

BTW, the picture was taken four years ago.

197. Before everyone gets testy, show a picture of the defendant so we can decide if her actions were criminal or an awesome once in a lifetime experience that Little Willie can brag about to his own children! I'll bet Big Willie is one proud papa.

199. I'm sorry TMZ, you've lost a faithful reader. I can't abide by any one putting up the face and name of a victim of sexual abuse. There are some guidelines you just should not cross. I hope one day you will see the error of promoting sexual abuse by glorifying it as you've done. So good bye for the last time.

200. Come on Guys and Gals...you have to show his picture? I don't care how old it is...you guys really have no right. Entertainment is just that. You don't have to sell your soul so sell a magazine do you? For shame on you and your trade.

201. There is no minimum age to get married in California as long as you have parental permission. So this would be alright if they were married? Does that mean he wasn't abused if they were married? Does this suddenly mean he's not a child anymore? Bunch of fake righteous know it alls.

202. This kid scored!!! What a jealous bitch of a man to rat on them. He knows damned well he would have tagged 22 if he had the chance. The guy is obviously still a pinheaded NERD. GO, young Thornton! GO! Pigs, backoff!

203. This kid SCORED!!! What a jealous bitch of a man to rat them out. He knows damned well if he had been cool enough at 14 to tag 22, he would have. He obviously is still a pin-headed NERD. Go, young Thornton! PIGs, backoff!

204. If there was an affair I don't believe the kid was an innocent victim.
Sex being something absolutely normal it irks me when it's called a sexual crime 14 and 22 that's only 8 years difference and it's a crime, 21 and 61 is 40 years difference and is not a crime explain this to me, and as for the coprophage ex-boyfriend he's past the bottom of the barrel he's a non-entity.

205. Putting this on the site is in very poor taste. I guess I fell into the trap by coming here to find the story, but regardless, it's a very poor decision (in my opnion) to post this.

207. Time Warner, Inc. owns TMZ. This is one of their mission statements:
Responsibility

We work to improve our communities, taking pride in serving the public interest as well as the interests of our shareholders.

Kind of ironic isn't it, they they talk about the public interest but support TMZ which will stomp on a young sexual abuse victims right to privacy.

Where is Time Warner's morals now? In the garbage can.

209. YOU'VE GONE TOO FAR, TMZ! I thought it was illegal to reveal the underage victim of a sex crime. This is a new low even for you, and I will NEVER see or look at your show or website again and encourage any other readers/viewers to consider doing the same.

210. What's sad is although Willie may not feel that bad about things now (hey, he might still be happy about it), when he grows up he'll always feel ashamed that he was raped and everyone knew about it. He may have even wanted to be famous like his dad, but being famous for being raped is about the worst kind of fame.
