"Idol" Castoff -- Even More Delusional Than Paula

An insane "American Idol" reject wants to "take down" the FOX show for making promises they can't keep -- too bad he's the one that needs to be carted away! You're going to Hollywood -- on a gurney!

After Chris Bernheisel failed to make the cut during auditions, Simon Cowell promised him a stint working the finale's red carpet for his local affiliate -- but the station ain't having it. According to Chris, FOX 42 in Nebraska just wants to interview Chris sitting up in the bleachers -- no red carpet, no celeb interviews, no "who are you wearing?!" -- and that's got Bernheisel flaming mad.

TMZ has obtained deranged emails Chris sent to "Idol" making a laundry list of diva demands including: seven tix to the final show, adding "I want to stand the whole time in the pit right in front of the stage!! Right in front of the judges." He also wants seven V.I.P passes to the after parties.

Train Wrecks - click to launchChris ends his demand letter with this ominous gem: "I went through hell my whole life of being bullied in junior high and high school. I don't have to take it anymore."

While Chris says "I'm not trying to be difficult by any means," he adds, "If I am not contacted within two weeks from when I sent you this email ... I will get my lawyer to contact you." "Idol" should be scared because Chris adds, "my father told me this can be a huge lawsuit."

When TMZ spoke to Chris on Tuesday, he broke down telling his sob story and reiterated he would seek vengeance on "Idol" and FOX 42. Hell hath no fury like a loser scorned.

UPDATE: A rep for FOX 42 tells us they offered Mr. Bernheisel airfare, hotel accommodations and credentials to report from the finale red carpet and saw his email demands to "Idol" as a refusal of their offer.

36. The "first" people display what these message boards are truly about - nothing! For crying out loud, FOUR of them thought they were first. Stupid.

The kid in the video is a mess. Lawsuit? I don't think so. He's the living embodiment of what's wrong with the younger generations today. A total mama's boy who was never taught to cope. Nothing is ever their fault as children and every wrong against them is fought, regardless of what a time waster it might be. Once these kids reach adulthood, they think and expect for the same rules to apply. Welcome to life people. It ain't fair. Deal with it.

37. No matter what....this guy will was always the last picked for teams in kick ball, he still owns a Member's Only Jacket, frequents the last roller rink in his town on weekends and his Mom still drops him off at the movie theater.

Look in the mirror Man! That is why you are still getting bullied! Hit the gym, start running, lift some weights...and just shut up! This is not helping your cause.

41. Is the poor delusional kid for real?? Did he really think doing a red carpet interview would "change" his life? People.....grow up! Life is not all fairy tales & dreams. You have to get out there & make it happen not sit around whining ro suing someone to get your dream......it's called hard work & talent. Neither of which this kid has. GET A LIFE!!!!

43. Listen, kid. Don't count on any human being upon this earth for one freaking thing. Got that? I made my own way in life. No one did crap for me. No matter how good you are, or how deserving you may be, don't believe one word anyone "promises" you. That is your lesson for today. You make your own way. You are young, and you have plenty of time to reach your career goals. A backup career plan is handy, also. Don't pin your hopes and dreams upon this earth on "working the red carpet." That's nothing. Does anybody actually "worship and adore" Joan Rivers? Good freaking grief -- BE the red carpet. BE the singing sensation who gets introduced BY somebody doing a red carpet interview. Go out and pay your dues, or study, or get good enough to get a record deal. Don't count on American Idol, nor anyone, to GIVE you anything. Besides (and this is something you won't know for a very long time, then it will hit you), working for every tiny little thing you have is the most, best, ultimate, tops, lovliest sense of self-accomplishment and satisfaction you can ever have on this planet. So, stop crying in your beer (er, milk) and go out there and keep plugging away at your dreams. Don't forget, however, that sometimes the Almighty might have a more fitting job for you, so don't ignore some other nice career that may come your way. After all, if the Lord gives it to you, it's GOT to be even better than the one you thought of. Stiff upper lip, now; hold your head up high, and leave Simon, and any other person who "promises" you something, up to God. Don't worry, God will take care of it for you -- you don't have to do a thing. Leave it behind. Hatred only destroys you inside. Think about it. Work diligently and quietly on your career until you are good enough to shine on your own. Okay?
