"Idol" Castoff -- Even More Delusional Than Paula

An insane "American Idol" reject wants to "take down" the FOX show for making promises they can't keep -- too bad he's the one that needs to be carted away! You're going to Hollywood -- on a gurney!

After Chris Bernheisel failed to make the cut during auditions, Simon Cowell promised him a stint working the finale's red carpet for his local affiliate -- but the station ain't having it. According to Chris, FOX 42 in Nebraska just wants to interview Chris sitting up in the bleachers -- no red carpet, no celeb interviews, no "who are you wearing?!" -- and that's got Bernheisel flaming mad.

TMZ has obtained deranged emails Chris sent to "Idol" making a laundry list of diva demands including: seven tix to the final show, adding "I want to stand the whole time in the pit right in front of the stage!! Right in front of the judges." He also wants seven V.I.P passes to the after parties.

Train Wrecks - click to launchChris ends his demand letter with this ominous gem: "I went through hell my whole life of being bullied in junior high and high school. I don't have to take it anymore."

While Chris says "I'm not trying to be difficult by any means," he adds, "If I am not contacted within two weeks from when I sent you this email ... I will get my lawyer to contact you." "Idol" should be scared because Chris adds, "my father told me this can be a huge lawsuit."

When TMZ spoke to Chris on Tuesday, he broke down telling his sob story and reiterated he would seek vengeance on "Idol" and FOX 42. Hell hath no fury like a loser scorned.

UPDATE: A rep for FOX 42 tells us they offered Mr. Bernheisel airfare, hotel accommodations and credentials to report from the finale red carpet and saw his email demands to "Idol" as a refusal of their offer.

91. He acts like that .... and he wonders why they won't let him stand at the red carpet with real journalists?

Somebody needs to give this boy a reality check. Hopefully it will come from the attorney he wants to hire. As I recall, Simon told him that he could represent his local FOX affiliate and that if they didn't want him to do it, they should call him (Simon). It sounds like the FOX affiliate held up their end of the deal, so I don't know why he or his dad thinks he should get all this extra stuff.

He actually thinks he can "take down" American Idol? Good luck with that, you whiny little beeyatch.

92. I have got to give credit to this guy to have the nerve to pursue his dream. Back off creeps!! I liked watching him on TV and he had such a happy outlook. We need more sincere people like him in this world, not anal people like all of you who are putting him down!

96. What a cuppy-cake, I can't believe his e-mails. You'd have to know them (family) to understand. I'm embarrassed for Fremont Nebraska.

97. Come on you guys, he has something, Simon felt it too evidentially or he wouldn't have said what he did for the guy. He made me and I am sure others feel happy when they saw him on TV. That smiling face, genuine heart, good outlook. I don't give a darn about his family or what they were like, I liked him!!! Everyone is differerent that is what makes the world go round.

99. Alright, first off, what is he talking about "working hard" to get this and that he earned it. All he did was walk on stage, suck at singing, have a friendly personality and leave. Doesn't sound like he did that much. This guy just lost probably one of the greatest opportunities of his life, all because of his greed. To be honest, Fox didn't even have to honor Simon's request. Who does this guy think he is? You think Fox is just going to let someone with little to no expierence do the interviews of the most watched show? Fox gave you the opportunity, you just threw it away. It's people like this guy who make me sick, thinking they are entitled to so much for doing so little. There are thousands of hard working singers/bands and journalists who would have killed for the opportunity. And his dad saying he has a good chance for winning a law suit....WHAT!!!! Daddy should be telling him the truth about life instead of catering to his son's ego. If by chance this "Diva" does win a lawsuit, I will have finally lost trust in the American Justice system.

100. Now I am beginning to get concerned with all of you. Either this board is full of "younger" folks who don't exactly have a clue yet, or some of you are just as delusional as this kid is. First off, Fox DID offer a deal that did have him interviewing on the red carpet just as Simon Cowel promised, it just wasn't good enough for the "Diva". And I don't blame Fox. Would you trust a completely untested individual with a group of his untested friends to do interviews on the red carpet. I think they wouldn't have even aired this contestent if it wasn't for Simon's offer. Probably thought it would be a "heart warming, feel good" gesture on Fox's part. This kid blew it.

101. The guy has never experienced anything like this, he was overwhelmed, give him a break. Other people were probably telling him what they thought he should do and he took some bad advise. Why is everyone always happy when bad things happen to people instead of wanting the best? Throw rocks at yourselves.

102. I am so tired of hearing about this little fruit loop. He has been on every radio station in Omaha. He is enough to make me puke. Nothing but a greedy spoiled little whack job that thinks he is someone. Why dont you get a life you little fairy boy and quit thinking everyone owes you something. Your 15 minutes were up a loooooong time ago.

105. I was just wondering what happened to this dude. I remember Simon saying that he wanted the guy to be at the Idol final, reporting for his local Fox affiliate, and if there was a problem, to have the affiliate call him (Simon). However, if he started to make demands, well, hey, that is a refusal of the offer, and as I recall, that's all it was. Too bad. At the audition I thought he was simple but nice. Now we know he's just a regular whacktard. Bet Simon won't be stretching that hand out anymore.
