Ling LingTokyo's most famous zoo critter, Ling Ling, has taken the panda express to that great bamboo plant in the sky.

Officials say Japan's only giant panda died of old age in his cage yesterday. At 22, Ling Ling was the equivalent of a 70-year-old human.

46. Hey TMZ staffers- Bet you think this is the same Ling Ling from the National Zoo in DC that you saw years ago on your school's field trip. Well, it's not. That Ling Ling died in 1992.

52. I would really like to know (if there are any knowledgeable people on the subject) - Are pandas supposed to look like that when the get older? Ling Ling looks horrible. I didn't think their fur turned completely gray! :(:( Looks like he's in bad shape!
