Modine's Use of the N-Word Just Ain't Wright

Matthew Modine hurled the N-word for all to hear on "The O'Reilly Factor" last night. He was making a point about Reverend Jeremiah Wright and then mentioned his daddy, who used to refer to blacks as uppity N****rs. The N-word was bleeped, but what Matt is saying is plain as day.

92. I couldn't think of what movies he played in until someone
mentioned full metal jacket. That's the only movie I can
recall seeing him in.

93. I am getting tired of everyone picking on everyone else just because they are honest...why don't we all just say what we think and mean and quit villifying everyone? Let Wright say what he thinks (he already has) and let Matthew Modine say what he thinks (he did) and hopefully Bill O'Reilly won't be too chicken to say what he thinks. (he won't).

Might be nice to hear what Hilary Clinton REALLY thinks of Obama and his pal Rev. Wright. Sheesh. (she might, since she is one tuff broad.)
Is this never gonna go away?

94. There once was a man named Obama.
He grew up alone with is momma.
His dad was a Muslim,
It was a big problem.
So he went to Rev. Wright,
Who wound the public up tight.
Now its drama, drama
For poor old Obama.....

95. Why is Matthew Modine even being questioned about this? Was Judd Nelson busy?

96. I'm so over the use of the N-word. If everyone, Blacks and Whites alike, stopped using the word, it would go away.

98. Hey, nat, time to jump back into your time machine and go back. You seem to miss it so much that you keep bringing it up. You were never, ever a slave. Just think, if you moved on you'd have to be accountable to yourself instead of finger pointing back a hundred or two hundred years at people and happenings that are nothing but ghosts in the mist. You'd have to point that finger directly at yourself.

99. Wow....Isaiah says the "f" word out loud to explain how someone accused him of using it, and the world goes nuts saying he should be fired and apologize and take sensitivity training....but a white man uses the complete "n" word to describe what someone said and it's okay and the poll results are just plan disturbing.

104. I don't get it? Why is it an issue? He was simply quoting someone else. People need to get over it.

105. Ok cdd-------to answer your question, even though i hate Chris Rock, and I could care less if he fell of the face of the earth----- I'm just making note of your poor character reference. Anyway, it's fine for him to make jokes like the crappy ones he makes because he's never been the beneficiary of systematic oppression. (i.e.) You (nor people like yourself) have never existed during a time when anything you said, that could be seen as an insult to white people, could quite possibly get you beaten and or killed. (like whistling at a white woman). We can say whatever we want, no matter how much you try to portray it as being "reverse racism", white separatist values, always has and always will control ideas of what's right or wrong. In short, your words are a damning reminder of America's past racial history. We can never top actions that your words have initiated (Lynchings ,church burnings, raping of women and children, car dragging, racial profiling, inherited wealth/white privilege, the list goes on & on).
